OK, I have a couple of questions and I know one has been answered a million times but:
If I have manually updated my phone to 2.2 , will I still get the update notification? ( this is a question about the first and second notification)
Secondly, I manually updated mine and my daughters droids using the same file but she does not have the "update all" feature in the market and I do. Why would this be?
Lastly, my wife's droid I did not manually update and she got the OTA update tonight and it updates very fast. I mention this cause some have said the ota update takes a while but it was really fast on her phone.
If you manually update you will not get an update notification since you have already updated.
You will only see "update all" if you have multiple apps with updates available.

Yes you should. Verizon will ping your phone. If it sees you don't have that, you'll get the download.
You can add Flash now, if you want; there are several threads with the link for download.
Hi furbearingmammal, I actually did use the one from the OP. But I was having the lag before with 2.1 as well toward the end. I would have though the update form this thread would have cleared it up.I just need to figure out whats up with my lag.
Oh, and my friend received the OTA update which bricked his phone. He got stuck with the large "M" staring back at him and is getting a new phone shipped to him. Good times.....
If it's still lagging after a couple of hours and a reboot hasn't fixed it, you'll need to manually install the update from the OP to clear it up. If your phone boot-loops on you, try to get back into recovery. If you cannot do that, no matter what you do, contact Verizon about getting a new phone.
I just wiped my phone again last night. I reappied the updated form this thread, cleared cache, did a factory reset, ceared cache again, and reapplied the update again. I know its kind od overkill and duplicating step, but I wanted to absolutely sure, non of whatever was causing the lag was going to remain. So far it seems better, but i've barely used to today and am still getting it setup back up the way I like it.

I finally got the ota update yesterday. Not too pleased with the changed background colors for the Messaging app.
Common complaint. Since I don't use the standard app may I suggest you give handcent a try?

I've read that it's buggy a few months back. Maybe it's gotten a lot better now?
Installed Flash 10.1 from the file a couple of pages back; install went fine, but I haven't had a chance to check it out. What I did notice was, even though it's a 4.5MB download, it uses almost 12MB internal memory once installed, and you can't move it to the SD card!
I suppose it doesn't help that I have almost 180 apps, but still...

Another reason to root. You could move those apps if you were rooted, including Flash.

I have 5 droids on my family plan. I did the manual update from the OP to three of them the other two received the OTA update. I am having issues with google latitude on 1 of the OTA updated phones and 2 of the manually updated phones. I have posted concerns to that thread hopefully someone has the answer.dancedroid
