ALERT! 2.2 FroYo Circus continues...FRG01B is Official get it here.

Getting my OTA 2.2 now...

East Texas - Moto Droid

I was reading another forum and noticed people talking about not getting 2.2, but saying that after they un-installed their current Task Killer App that when they "checked for updates" their phone was downloading 2.2. So I un-installed ATK...and sure enough when I checked for updates it was being downloaded.

Woohoo....

My daughter got her update this evening while at college in central Texas. Hopefully, I don't get an update because I already did a manual update over a week ago.

Do I have to install flash player or does it come with the 2.2 update. I got the OTA notice today and updated it already.
I think that particular question has been answered at least ten times today alone by me. I really need to start keeping track. :)

You have to install it separately. Unless Verizon or Motorola start licensing it from Adobe, this is how it will always be. It will not appear in the Market quite yet -- you have to download and install the .apk manually.

did not give google permission to share my info

I'm pretty sure I'm correct when I say that Google's privacy policy is opt-out, not opt-in, when it comes to sharing your info. And who is Google sharing it with if Google itself is using the info? You've bought a Google phone. It is connected to their servers. It uses anonymized data to keep your phone updated.

In other news, I got FRGO1B this AM on both phones in the house. Update OTA, without a hitch (so far). Looking forward to tinkering with it today.

I got tired of waiting so I ran the manual install last night. It worked perfectly. Now I'm just wondering what all the hype was about.

WTF Verizon... Google... Motorola... WHOEVER.

Where the hell is my Flash Player!!! It's not on the market, and no I don't want to download some hack from angelfire.

Just got my update, yeah.

Can someone tell me how to change the security pattern to a number? I am not sure where this is located.

Lastly, each time I use google on the droid it never finds my location even if I just used google maps or GPS. Any Idea why this is and how I can get location to work so I can find nearby things?
