ALERT! 2.2 FroYo Circus continues...FRG01B is Official get it here.

Last night I decided to do an hard reset to my droid before I received the 2.2 update. It's been running kinda slow and buggy so I figured a fresh start was an order.

What do you? After the clean wipe and activation of the phone, I received a notice that there was an update to my phone (Froyo, of course)! Coincidence?

So I'm stock and I updated manually when the file was released. should I install this file to get the latest updates? I have not received anything OTA from VZW

WTF Verizon... Google... Motorola... WHOEVER.

Where the hell is my Flash Player!!! It's not on the market, and no I don't want to download some hack from angelfire.

nope nope nope SORRY! Google picks and chooses who gets it first LOL IF YOU ALLOW THEM TO!.... notice the version number for the player on the page. It is the same as the link on here. If you don't want to controlled by other entities just download the file move it to your droid in the root of the /SDcard install it and enjoy FlashPlayer:icon_ banana:

It's not a hack, it's the actual file lifted from someone's computer. The latest version is the official build for the Nexus 1 and functions flawlessly (if not as well as the Droid-specific build that's supposed to be visible with the next update rumored to be released soon) on the Droid. If you don't want to install it outside the market, that's fine. That's your choice. Please stop complaining about it, however. It will be here when it gets here and the option to have it now is available to you.

Wait, are you saying you installed FRG01B manually when the file first came out and now you're worried you won't have FRG01B pushed out to you OTA and then installed on your phone?

Update: Coincidence?

I had been waiting for weeks for the update notification. I was feeling very left out. I decided to power off my phone and restart it. Lo and behold, when it restarted there was the update notification.

Coincidence or not? :icon_ banana:

when will 2.2 be avail for the lg ally.. i haven't gotten any update or anything..
As far as I'm aware, never. It might not hurt to contact LG directly about it and ask if one's planned.

I read that it will receive a full 2.2 upgrade.. its posted before:

OK, I have a couple of questions and I know one has been answered a million times but:

If I have manually updated my phone to 2.2 , will I still get the update notification? ( this is a question about the first and second notification)

Secondly, I manually updated mine and my daughters droids using the same file but she does not have the "update all" feature in the market and I do. Why would this be?

Lastly, my wife's droid I did not manually update and she got the OTA update tonight and it updates very fast. I mention this cause some have said the ota update takes a while but it was really fast on her phone.
