ya the only reason you would get that error is because you either had the file named as update.zip.zip or just update

I have been on 2.1 for about a day now, ive noticed a couple of things, Screen orientation will not change when on home screen unless u pull keyboad out, keyboad backlighting is shaky, anyone else notice this?

Ok then yes, the file is being read with update.zip.zip, I had this problem too. Make certain that you rename only "update" in .zip format.

dang, 12am, nothing haha. except i did have an alarm notice that showed up and for a second had my hopes up.

Mmm... Manually updated and I am now at 2.1

Unfortunately... I had purposefully gone back to stock for this, but I still had the rooting update.zip in /sdcard So the rename for 2.1 got messed up in astro and I ended up accidentally rooting my phone... Go me...

2nd try was the charm

Is there an order of who gets the update? Or is it compeltly random, disregarding when the user bought the phone

the screen orientation was that way on the old one too.
