Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

There is no set list of who gets what when. People who just got their Droids a few weeks ago have gotten the update, but people who got them in November haven't yet.

Unfair..........should roll it out to us old timers before the noobs.

I'm just glad it's finally released. Still would like to know what exactly happened, but now that will probably be swept under the rug.

I received the update OTA overnight and installed early this morning. Bought my Droid the week before Christmas. Good luck to all others waiting for the Verizon push of the update. This phone is almost better than masturbation!!!

Camera

For the ones that got/have the update, do you see any difference in the camera?

Not sure if this was asked before, but looking through 196 pages for it is not fun...

i live in boston MA and i still havent gotten the update i hope i get today friday 2nd

I'm also in Boston and woke up disappointed.

My buddy's company got them all Droids, but they aren't allowed to force the manual update.
He's going nuts hearing me talk about how much I like 2.1.

Got update. Happy with it. Question though, does anyone know if 2.1 plays nice with DXtop? Mine has been acting a bit funky since I updated.
Some have mention something called hellix..is that better with 2.1?

Running Slower since update

Liking the new 2.1 update. Anyone else noticing their droid running slower now. I gain some speed back when I am not using a live wallpaper.

Camera Launch

For the ones that got/have the update, do you see any difference in the camera?

Not sure if this was asked before, but looking through 196 pages for it is not fun...

I haven't noticed a difference in the quality, but I haven't taken too many pictures. Where I noticed a difference was in the launch time after I hold down the camera button. It is much faster, which is nice, because I like using that shortcut instead of navigating to the camera shortcut.
