Android 2.1 Update Rolls Out For Motorola Droid!

was there a facebook update with 2.1? i manually updated mine and my wifes and we are now getting facebook notifications with the little "f" facebook icon in the notification bar where as before with 2.0.1 we wouldnt get the notifications

Anyone that is still waiting, why don't you do it manually? It's the same exact thing, and it's really easy. I got it about 5 minutes after they released the update.zip and couldn't be happier.

I used to get those in 2.0.1. But thats a facebook deal, they have nothing to do with 2.1.

I manually installed the update and all is fine. Have not rooted yet, waiting on OTA notification and resolution, so running 2.1 update 1. Question is what should I do when I get notified of the OTA update?

Postponing it will just have it keep pestering me. But I am pretty sure it will not load over 2.1 already there.

Thanks

I discovered my droid had shutoff this morning and wouldn't come back on. I had to take out the battery to get it back on. I didn't have the upgrade. Could something have gone wrong with the upgrade or is this unrelated?

Why not manually? Because I really don't care to do it. Just like I don't care about doing the "R" thing to my phone either.

When I get it, I get it. I was never in the "need-the-latest-thing-right-now" club.

Unrelated probably an app went bad. I do battery pulls every so often. Not a big deal unless it happens frequently then you gotta find the offending program.
