No you should have got it a long time ago.

Go to Settings -> About Phone -> System Updates.

If you are rooted you will not receive the update. If not then it should show the 2.1 update available on that screen.

I got my Droid last week.
It came with 2.0.1 and within 1 few minutes of use the 2.1 OTA downloaded and gave me the option of "Install Now" or "Install Later." I opted for later - and have opted that way about 50 times since (reminder pops up about 10 times a day).
Meanwhile, I rooted my Droid to add Hebrew fonts. That's all I needed/wanted the root access for.
My questions is: if I do click "Install Now" for 2.1 next time I am prompted, will I lose the Hebrew fonts I installed? Or will I just lose root access, but the changes I made with root access will remain (the Hebrew fonts)?

I have been seeing a lot of youtube videos in regards to entering codes to your droid and getting apps such as changing traffic lights and money counter. Does it really work and how can we go to that screen to enter the codes?

Its gonna keep asking u if u wanna update till u either add a rom or update if you choose to update you must unroot or you'll either brick your phone or it will mess something up internally I am runnin ultimate droid 8 if you want if anyone has questions instant message me [email protected] I can answer all questions and give walkthroughs. I don't think the traffic light app will work I have personally never used it but it would be pretty hard for a developer to get codes for all the traffic lights in the u.s and the money counter app might work see if it has comments of people who have used it but its gonna be a negative on the light app

None of those codes work. They are fake videos. Sorry to spoil your hope for them to work but the videos were made in good fun.

You probably got the update just don't know it go to your settings than go down to about phone and click check for update and it should get it for you!

No doubt, the traffic signal changers used on emergency equipment run about 35k to 70k per intersection. Both the sending units and intersection controllers that can change a signal are also monitored and correlated to a vehicle so that they are not used inappropriately. Great concept though.

I knewthe video was fake cause light went from green to red to blue I just didn't want to cancel it out considering this phone can do just about anything but thanks for solving that

Hmm that's weird. I don't know why you wouldn't have gotten it already either. You can always manually download it. When you go to Settings -> About Phone scroll down to Firmware Version and tell me what that says.

Are you sure about this?
I want to understand - if I am rooted and accept the VZW 2.1 OTA update then my phone becomes a brick? Are you sure? Can anyone else confirm?
Here is another question: If I do unroot and then accept the update, will my font change disappear as well?

If you are on 1.5 it sounds like you have the Droid Eris. If so you do not want to follow the instructions in this thread. You want to go here.
