I'll help you feel better. I'm sitting in Iraq, on night shift reading all this. My Droid, which I've never even SEEN is sitting in TX, waiting for it's update, and I won't get to play with it until the end of June. So I have to live vicariously through you guys. BTW, I get home on June 41st.....oh wait...uh

I'll believe it when I see it. Although, my USB cable is several miles away from me, and I don't think I have enough charge to apply the update even if I am one of the 9,000 to receive it tonight. I think I'll survive...

I just wanted to say thanks for serving because I say it to everyone I see come into my job with their uniform on. I appreciate what your doing for our country and if it wasnn't for you I wouldn't feel as safe as I do in our countyr as I do now. Keep up the great work and hope you come home safe!

How do you use the update.zip once it is posted? Do you just put it on the SD card, keeping the name the same, and the phone just finds it?
Also, any clue if Helixlauncher2 works with the stock 2.1 and if that will add the 3D app tray?

May I suggest that the honchos here be sure to have separate, new, and thus easier to locate threads when a) the update.zip file is posted and another b) with initial eyewitness opinions/reactions to the update once people have it up and running...
