CyanogenMod 5.0.6.1

Currently on 5.0.6 and tried to update to 5.0.6.1 or what ever through Rom manger but it stopped down loading at about 20% and said it was completed. I tried to install and it aborted obviously. But now I try to down load again and it thinks its complete so it wont entirely download. Any suggestions on how to resolve this issue.

Absolutely love the ROM. I just wish helix 2 would work and hope fork themes get updated soon.

Clear the contents of your clockwork's download folder and rom manager will be able to download again

Oh helix2 works, you need the beta version from his site (cant remember what his site link is tho)

Are there scripts to remove unwanted programs through term em? I just switched from UD, your entire system is unbelievable.

I just use "root explorer" and delete any unwanted .apk's. Super easy, just make sure you tread carefully.

can you explain how to uninstall like "amazonmp3" or "corpcal" for instance using root explorer??

Made the switch from us and got the paid version of rom manager. Since I flashed and installed cyanogen I haven't been able to see the paid apps tab on the market. Anyone else getting this? I've wiped data, I noticed that even after wiped data and cache my background stays on the same custom pic I had set before the wipe. I've tried different installs, different Roms flashed, reflashed wiped rewiped. Same thing every time. Any answers?

Boot to Clockwork recovery and do a factory reset, then wipe all 4 partitions (data, cache, system, boot) a couple of times each. It seems overboard but that's what I had to do the last time to make sure all remaining bits from the last rom were blown away for good. Before I did that I kept seeing bits and pieces from the previous rom that shouldn't have been there. Afterwards the new rom was smooth and error free.

That took care of the remaining bits and pieces of old Roms but I still don't have a Paid tab in the market

very weird. maybe wait til the morning and see if the google servers sort things out.

Well yes I did. But that's only because it stopped at 9% on 2 of 2. I got of now that I reverted back to restore point which was BB.

Well yes I did. But that's only because it stopped at 9% on 2 of 2. I got of now that I reverted back to restore point which was BB.

yeah, servers are taking a beating from too many downloads so it sounds like you got an error. re-install with google apps and you'll be good to go.

Sigh...I installed this ROM, then used Rom Manager to install the 2D Home screen...I guess it's slightly different from the 2D home screen I was using with UD 9.0, because my MyBackupPro restore didn't restore my home screens.

I am so sick and tired of redoing my home screens.

Also, the News and Weather widget isn't picking up my weather from my location automatically.

i can't blame you for being excited about your team signing Marshall because I was hoping for Seattle to make the deal but the team to beat is reaching....

but on topic....i have a major lag at times with this new rom (while overclocked at 1000). any ideas what's causing this. also i've read that haxzamatic nextheme is working on 5.0.6.1...but is there any idea when an official for this particular build will be released?

and by the way i am encountering the same lag. i have mine at 1ghz too. ive played around with the cpu speed and nothing seems much better than the other. i also tried flashing a different kernal but everytime i flashed it wouldnt actually install...i flashed a 1.2ghz kernal from both providers and for some reason it keeps saying i still have the 1ghz kernal. yes i unchecked 'set on boot', yes i autodetected phone, yes i tried fixing permissions. i asked this question earlier but i only got one response but nothing helpful.

open setcpu > press the menu button > device selection > autodetect


if that doesn't work can you give more details of what exactly isn't working?

when choosing -autodetect- it only gives me 600 MHZ and does the same if I choose Moto Droid. On any other ROM it gives me at least 1 GHZ. 2.1 is much faster than 2.0.1 but I would still love to overclock and I love Cyanogens ROMs so I would like to know if I'm missing something. did you install an overclocked kernal? The rom isnt overclocked.
