CyanogenMod 5.0.6.1

when choosing -autodetect- it only gives me 600 MHZ and does the same if I choose Moto Droid. On any other ROM it gives me at least 1 GHZ. 2.1 is much faster than 2.0.1 but I would still love to overclock and I love Cyanogens ROMs so I would like to know if I'm missing something. Thanks for the reply hope this answers what you need.

the stock kernel the rom has will only go to 600, you need to change your kernel

You need to flash to an overclocking kernel. The default is 600mhz. Go to cyanogen rom section and you'll see two kernel sections. The bekit kernels are specific to CM and allow for a wide range of options, including 600mhz-1.2ghz, 5 and 7 slot, and high and low voltage. SetCPU will then allow you to adjust accordingly. Good luck!

Edit: yeah, like they said. I guess I type/refresh slow :D

Rom manager is killin me right now...what gives? I updated to 5.0.6.1 last night and I've been trying to find the theme that I used with 5.0.5.7 so I've been swapping themes left and right all day with no Rom manager problems. But for the last hour I cant seem to get the "flash clockworkmod recovery" to complete.

(edit) yah i'm having all kinds of trouble...just seems to be running really slow right now

so i updated to 5.0.6.1 and downloaded the P3 1250 kernel. i used setcpu and set it to max just to see how it ran. after a couple minutes my phone went into a boot loop. did i do something wrong?

Wonder if it was overheating. Would download Temp monitor from the market. Keep track of the temps. If it does put you into a bootloop then would try a lower kernel. Good luck

I keep getting intallation aborted (bad) when I try to put 5.0.6.1 over 5.0.6
I know I have no real reason to go up to .1 I just was toying around and now I want it to work cause I don't like it when inanimate objects tell me whats going to happen. Its coming straight from rom manager. The d/l time is like 2 seconds. then reboot

Nothing wrong, probably means your phone can't handle 1250. Try lower clock speeds. Most phones can handle 1000.

I have 5.0.6.1 installed and running smooth but have a question. I used ROM manager coming from UD V10 backed up and wiped data. The market downloaded all my apps and I decided to setup manually instead of titanium, trying to start fresh. One thing I noticed is my WIFI locations were remembered and the wallpaper with the cheerleaders from UD V10 was still there, does this mean that I actually did not clear everything?
