DarkSlide V4 - .340 ROM - Style, Quadrant, Linpack Champ

I have a question about the camera...

I have been playing with DarkSlide since I flashed it on friday evening. Nice build (for my first Rom). It seems pretty solid.

The picutres my camera takes are kinda fuzzy and not at all like stock. My wife has a stock dx and hers takes amazing photos. Now I'm not a big picture taker with my phone but Do Roms change anything with the camera?

It would be nice to get nice sharp pics for the few that I do take.

I have read every page of this thread prior to me flashing this rom and I do not recall anyone mentioning problems with their camera.

Thanks for the help

Can you post a sample? I haven't noticed it too much.

Hmmi haven't noticed any difference in camera (except when I used Rubix Focused which used AOSP camera rather than blur- and it was a bit blurry when zoomed or dark) DarkSlide camera seems fine, in fact I have a coworker who has a stock X and was unable to believe that when we took the exact same shot with both phones, mine came out better...

Check your lens...sometimes you can get dust or fingerprints on it, and this will cause pictures to come out poorly (happened to me once) wipe it clean and see if that helps?

Got it back to working. Deleting the stock Text Messaging, even after installing it back on, ****ed it up. Re-installed it fresh and works like a charm again. Beast.
Sorry about my absence...i've had a rather busy day...I see on MyDroidWorld that BBCrackman got you fixed up? :p

Yea man!!! Your absence has cost us all kinds of issues today. You

think you can just take a day off without alerting everyone (Me) to

be exact? dancedroid

Well, that one guy freaking out about the swype keyboard had nothing to do with me, lol I just hope everyone relaxes and remember that we're all friends and that BBCrackman and GatesJunior are working very hard on this rom... ;)

This is one I tiook of my dog this morning.

I did double check the lens to make sure that there was no fingerprints on it

The scecond photo is from my wifes phone. I know its not the best picture since its snowing.

I think I may have answered my own question....It seems when I use the red side button the pics come out a little fuzzy but if I use the small touch button on the screed they were sharper

Any logic to this. I tired it on my phone and the pics were better.. I'm glas to get some better pics but this just leaved me a little confused

Snowing? These appear to be indoor pics...and the first does appear slightly blurred, but that just looks like typical DX low light shot....

Beautiful dog though!

My DX does the same camera crap but it also did it as a stock DX so I know its not DarkSlide ... Sometimes I get great pics and sometimes not but I have learned that alot of the times its my operator error ... when Im pressing the button to take the pic I shake the phone bit if I use the touch screen button I get a better pic ... is there a camera app out there that is better than the stock camera ?

Come out of the light & into the DarkSlide !

I agree. Some times I get digital camera quality and sometimes I don't. Some times good inside and bad outside. And sometimes the other way around. I believe its user error on my end also.

Still haven't figured out how to snap a quick ready pic. I hold the button occasionally ans other times it just clicks and takes a clean shot. Lol, I don't know.

Not the best, but it's getting there. Being able to underclock to 400MHZ when the screen is off helps a bit.

Wow you got about a million.icons up there in status bar...is the sync always on or just at the time you took that shot? If I may offer some advice (I know Chkmate will back me up on this) get rid of ATK. ;) no need for it, trust in Android! :p

I've never seen the sync icon before up there, but it's been up there non-stop since installing Darkslide.

Yes, I did.
That is why you have the sync stuck on. Try wiping and reinstalling, but allowing Android to restore your apps & contacts etc...or...if you want to use Titanium, make sure it is NOT restoring system data... apps + app data is (evidently) fine...
