Um, they're installers. They install into a SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic folder by default on the desktop. Doesn't matter where you run the installers from.

If I were you I'd nuke your existing SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic folder then run HoB 7.0, Components 1.0, and 246 support installers in that order. Done.

Just want to say thanks again, SamuriHL. Went from 244 to 246 the other day, using the HoB 6.7. Worked flawlessly and everything is working as it should. I will add my info to the others in this thread...I average about 10 to 15 hours of moderate use on mine before I hit the yellow and need to find a charger. And when I do the update check, I am also getting the "check for update not available at this time" message. Been that way since I went to 244, and I have done a full wipe of everything. Also, I tried to bump my CPU back up to 1.2 the other day just to check, and sure enough my phone went crazy in a matter of about one minute. So, for whatever reasons my phone just does not like the 1.2 setting at all. Oh well, running just fine at 1.0.

Thanks, but I have, several times. It doesn't tell me whether the subordinate files are self-extracting or whether I should extract to a single folder. Appreciate your incredibly helpful post.

RMD
Installing the House Of Bionic:

o) Install the Moto Device Manager (driver): USB and PC Charging Drivers - Motorola Mobility, Inc. USA
o) Install the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(7.x).exe
o) Install the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_COMPONENTS_(1.0).exe
o) Install the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic_(xxx).exe for the updates you want support for

Did you read that because I am sure it explains pretty well. I am sorry I am not trying to be rude really. But Sam has made it quite clear and easy to follow.

RSD 6.14

o) Added a new installer to update RSD to the latest. This should be installed AFTER components on new installs. This is an optional update for those wanting to use the latest RSD.

I'm going to be changing the links in the OP soon. Those who have the HoB downloaded (installer, components, rsd, updates) need not panic. I've split things up in the installers but the end result is the same. IF YOU ALREADY HAVE THE COMPONENTS INSTALLER, there's nothing to do except get the latest RSD installer. You can continue using that installer until we get a new FXZ.

What I've done is created a separate FXZ installer, separate RSD installer, and move the utils into the main HoB installer. It just logically made more sense to me.

AGAIN, existing users will not be impacted. Just get the latest HoB and RSD installers and you're good to go. I'll let everyone know when the change is complete.

7.1 RELEASE
5.9.905 FXZ

o) Add utils to the 7.1 installer
o) Release an FXZ only installer

NOTE: If you already have the COMPONENTS 1.0 installer, you do not need to download the FXZ installer. Please continue to use the COMPONENTS installer until we get a new FXZ. You should get the RSD installer and update RSD.

Does the hob still allow to create a boot.img file? I kept getting a error when trying. I deleted all old hob files. Installed hob 7, components, then created a 246 folder, dropped my update in there then ran hob. No dice.
