Roflmao. And I bet his will look eerily similar to yours. We need to figure out what's going on with that.

I should have known something was wrong, since the RSD step was way faster than last time.

Thanks for making this BTW, Samuri. With all the angst and drama around the Bionic, it's nice to see such a strong community pop up to fill the void.

Those having this error... I need info. Exactly what installers you're using when you encounter this problem. And I want the md5 hash of the system.img file in the 905_FXZ dir. I have to be able to track this down in order to be able to fix it.

  • I did a fresh install of the 7.2 installer
  • I used the 6.14 RSD
  • The MD5 hash of system.img is: 8E306AC58DD4FCF01566C517EABC098D

Did you use the fxz installer or the old components installer? I'm of the opinion that the 6.14 rsd is at the heart of this problem. Try 5.7 and see if that fixes it.

I used the FXZ installer. I am trying 5.7 now. Will advise.

Rsd it is. I'll take down the 6.14 installer until I have time to figure out what the hell is up with that. Thanks for the feedback.

Ok, so last night I did a repair and reinstall of 242 and went to bed. It's a new day and I'm ready to party. I was using RSD 6.14, but we're thinking the issue is with RSD and that 5.7 should fix the problem? Is this a correct assessment?

Uninstalled HoB and reinstalled HOB. Now running with HOB 7.2, RSD 5.7, 905 FXZ, 242 and 246. The RSD portion is currently running and it is taking SIGNIFICANTLY longer than last time. Last night the RSD portion took at most 20 seconds. This time it's taking a few minutes. It is still progressing so I don't think I have a new problem. But clearly something is different from last night. Since I had all of the same stuff installed except the RSD version (I had 6.14 installed) I think SamuriHL found the issue.

On the first post it say something like "old version" of RSD for 5.7. You may want to edit it to say something like "I know it's old but 6.14 doesn't seem to work right".

Edit: Patching system files. Looks like I'll be on 246 in a few mins.
