Downgrade to 902 - No app or data loss

I downloaded it with firefox and it was fine. I'll try with chrome when I get back to my computer in my office.

The script is not working for me at all - seems to crap out after pushing the file to my sdcard. I was wondering if you still have the old instructions so that I can do this manually. In particular, I can't remember what to do after flashing 902 with RSDLite (I would use the modified xml file for this) in order to get to 905 before flashing 230.

Thanks in advance.

I am also having the same problem. After clicking the RUNME.bat, having it push the files to the sdcard, you get errors saying cannot find adb or moto-fastboot. I even tried adding the SamuriHL_HouseOfBionic folder to my Windows PATH variable, but then it gets errors on the next step saying it cannot find allow-mbmloader-flashing-mbm.bin and the rest of the bin files.

When you do this, are you just double clicking the RUNME.bat file or are you doing something different?
It shouldn't matter, but try opening command prompt and navigating to the folder that everything is in, then try adb reboot bootloader to see if the command itself works. Also, I guess I should ask, did you extract the zip file or just open the zip and try running the batch file? That would cause that error as well.

adb reboot bootloader works fine. phone resets into fastboot mode.

This sounds like the zip file wasn't extracted, wasn't completely extracted or was corrupt. Did you verify the MD5 after downloading? Try extracting the zip to the root of C: (shouldn't matter but worth a shot). There is no reason that this shouldn't work the way it is right now...

That is odd... I may have missed it, but what version of Moto drivers are you using? Do you have multiple Android devices connected (or have had connected) to this PC? It's a long shot, but its all I can come up with off the top of my head.

I will be home in about 2 hours and will upload the file to my 4shared account so it can be used as a mirror.

Great, thanks! I'll post the link in mirrors if I'm still here.

&*^*&^%*%&^%&^*%&*!!! I see the problem. :( TOTALLY my fault. I will fix the script attachment. SO SORRY!!! My bad. Give me 5 minutes.

Updated the runme.txt attachment. Overwrite the RUNME.bat in the extracted zip. Man what an idiot. Very sorry about that.

That was an easy miss. I wouldn't beat myself up over it if I were you. I was just scouring through it myself and didn't see that.

My problem is now fixed too!

Woot! dancedroid Glad we didn't go down the path I was heading. Wouldn't have hurt, but it wouldn't have been too much fun. LOL

I'm usually more careful than that. Those easy to miss ones are also the most pain in the ass ones to find and debug which is why I'm usually careful. Wasted people's time on a stupid bug. :(

Eh, call that one your Mulligan then. You've now used up your quota of brain-farts for this process. The next one we'll have to bill you for. LOL :p

Sounds like a plan. Good golf analogy as I'll be golfing tomorrow. :D Knowing my luck they'll release a new update while I'm gone. I would caution people not to jump as soon as you see a new file posted. We've been lucky in that we can still go back to 902 but that's not always guaranteed. Let the adventurous test and verify going back to 902. Then jump on it. :) Now that the script is fixed, you should be good to go.

SIGH. I had to pull the file for the moment. I'm going to have to reupload it to those that are mirroring it. It's got a slight problem that needs to be fixed and people should not use it until I get the new version up. This is not my day. :(
