Features, and Bug-Fixes, and Themes, OH MY! Sapphire - 0.8.4

Corporate email notification ringtone

First off, great rom, I've tried most of them and this one is the best IMHO.
I've noticed a problem since upgrading to 0.8.4. I can set my corporate email notification ringtone to silent, but whenever it restarts, or I reboot the phone, it defaults to the settings it was installed with. I did a wipe, and reinstalled, and set the corporate email settings to be disabled when I configured it. Now when I set it to a ringtone and reboot, it will default back to notifications disabled. It looks as if whatever I set the notification ringtone to, it defaults to the original installed setting when it restarts. Settings for my calendar and gmail persist just fine. Has anyone else seen this? I've seen the same behavior with CM6RC1 (briefly switched roms to see if it was specific to sapphire).

Same problem. The notification sound for both gmail and corporate mail goes back to the original setting. It seems to not just happen with a reboot, perhaps after a period of time.

I have an interesting issue. ROM ran great for about 12 hours. Then while using the broswer, it started acting up. The browser started crashing. No FC, just shutting down. After about 5 tries to get the browser to open and work properly, the phone rebooted. Big "M", Sapphire boot animation, and it hung there. The animation continued to run, but it wouldnt finish booting. After 5 minutes, I did a battery pull and reboot. All that got me was a boot loop. I did a restore back to the original install (12 hours earlier), and the phone would boot, show the lock screen and reboot. Any suggestions?
Edit~~ Forgot to mention, I factory reset and wiped the cache partition 3 times each before installing.

Has this been said?

Ok, from my phone I downloaded Gapps link and moved it with root explorer to the root of SD and recovery (clockwork) and installed Gapps to get my market, and it was complete, turned on phone and it goes to the "start android to continue thing" which means it wiped everything??
But thats not the biggest problem, it's when clicking the android it just glows as like clicking an icon that glows but DOESN'T open, I just keep clicking it and it won't get past that part, tried it couple times, but going back to recovery and installing 8.0.4 again just takes me back to normal it seems. But still weird, and without a market still.

I had that problem with it staying on the Touch the droid screen until I wiped data/cache. I bypassed the setup screen by doing the "top left, top right, bottom right, bottom left" tap on the screen but gmail wouldn't open. Wiped data and cache and all was well.

I did wipe cache though
But what you mean top left top right bottom right bottom left? Never heard that

Did you also do wipe data/factory reset in Clockwork? That clears everything and the market will resync your apps. You can bypass the set up screen by tapping the screen in a clockwise rotation starting with the top left.

Dont see the latest flash apk listed on the wiki page. Was it moved?

Should be able to find it in the market by searching for Adobe Flash. That may only work prior to the market fix though.

Did the same thing. First attempt at 0.8.4 was through notification from ROM manager. That just hung up. So I did the update.zip without wiping data/cache. After the gapps update it hung on the setup screen. I bypassed by touching the four corners (thankfully I read that somewhere). But not much was working. Wiped data/cache and then did the updates again, and all was smooth.

Aside from a few minor issues like reseting the notification sound and ADK launcher hanging up now and then, Sapphire is running very well for me. I ran the first leaked Froyo release, one of the early BB Froyos, and then all of the Froyo Sapphire releases so far.

I just loaded Saphire up and then loaded Black Glass over the top. I came from SS4.4 and I wiped data/cache 3 times before flashing Saphire. I noticed when I am on the phone the screen doesn't shut off. Is anyone else seeing this??
