Features, and Bug-Fixes, and Themes, OH MY! Sapphire - 0.8.4

This is odd. I'm working on trying to figure out why you don't have it (someone else in IRC reported they don't have it either).

Well, Ive used every ROM that you guys have released to date, and unfortunately, this one is a major step backwards. Rather dissapointing :( I have no notifications... the Notifications are silenced and will not turn up, in fact it wont even let me change the volume control... the phone calls do not vibrate, even when set to vibrate...

Unfortunately Im going to unstall this one... been a good ride until now though!

JLang-

You may want to try reflashing. You can read thru all 43 pages and not find those problems from any one else.

Given the nature of this arena, it is possible that you have problems no one else has reported, but not likely. As example, SPR has never playned nice on my phone. Since rooting, it's been shakey. CW on the the other hand has worked great, up until 8.4!

It's the smoothest, fastest rom I've encountered. I'd hate to see you give up because of one problem. Remember, none of this was intended to be done to the phone, it's not unheard of to run into a problem.

I appologize that my post was so vague, as I am at work and didnt have much time to post...

I installed using the older version of CW, not Rom Manager, I also performed two cache and data wipes before installing this ROM.

Not sure why mine would completely remove my Ring/Vibrate feature

Well it would appear that a reflash did indeed solve the problem. I had performed that task a second time, but apparently 3rd times a charm. I did notice that on the other 2 installs, the phone hung on the M logo on the initial reboot... this time, it did not. Not sure why the phone is so picky.

Glad to hear it's working. It's not an exact science, and from phone to phone it's amazing to hear how one rom/kernal works so differently.

Hopefully you'll find this one to work as well for you as it has for me!

I am amazed at how responsive this ROM is even with the supplied Kernel. I normally use P3Droid's Kernels, but Im almost not seeing a need with how well this one performs.

I have corporate calender and I'm running sapphire. I do run better widgets and tap on the calender part, menu, more, calenders, click on the ones you want your calender to sync with.
Of coarse you need to go into settings first and set up your corporate calender to sync.

Did you install CC after flashing or was it there on it's own?

(i am running Luna Theme on the latest Sapphire right now... stay tuned for the release...)
