While Steve Jobs is a brilliant computer mind that has manufactured some key electronic gadgets in our time...he is a die hard liberal and friend of Al Gore...nothing more to say.

But - let's not make this a political thread. No matter what your political bent is...we can agree that this phone (the HTC Droid Incredible HD) is a damn fine piece of hardware that we all hope comes out before Thanksgiving!!!

Oh, I don't dig Al Gore or libs either, I just had no idea Jobs did. The Google CEOs are kinda the same way though...

Very true. At the end of the day we just need to buy the device we like the most and that meets our needs.

For me that looks to be this HTC device. Plus - I like being a little different from all the iSheep that have iPhones.

Just killing time here. Interesting, this phone is getting more of a following than any of the dual core LTE devices that are rumored in this forum. Maybe because this is a month away?

Another thought. I hate to lose my physical keyboard, but I really like Swype. I wonder if this will have it preinstalled? There are some things that I don't like Swype for (when I am actually not "swyping" and need to type letter by letter... I hope I can get used to that fast without relying on the physical keyboard for backup.

Has anyone else noticed that Verizon is really pushing the original droid incredible lately. With buy it and get any phone free plus the huge amount of times Ive seen the incredible commercial in the last week or so. Makes me feel like they are trying to get as many originals sold before the HD (its predecessor) is released. Anyone else see a connection?

Doesn't really mean to much. Best Buy has been doing this promotion all month and select a device from each carrier and 1-2 are high end. The Samsung Fascinate and I think the Droid X were free once, The Droid Incredible is popular, so they chose that. Just a coincidence.

What is more interesting is the rapid commercials from HTC and Verizon over the DInc. Either its a sign of the "Incredible HD" or its because of the HTC Merge. Who knows./FONT]

The Merge is soon to be released...as Verizon (despite not even officially announcing it yet) is giving it away this weekend in some contest in Seattle. I suspect we will see a Merge announcement next week and then an Incredible HD announcment the week before Thanksgiving.

Let's see what Miami has for us...hopefully it will fill in some gaps.

For me - I do not want the weight, thickness or complexit of a slider - so this Incredible HD is what I am waiting for.

Im still looking at a silent launch and then a black friday ad on Thursday with a new for the holidays feel to it. I could be wrong i guess but that's what im told and expecting.

I hope they offer pre-sales/ordering the device to pick it up on launch day. I want this phone the day it is released.

Miami, You’re pretty famous on Google news right now about this phone being released. BGR doesn't even have an update AND they were the first to show off this phone. Even before Engadget for crying out loud. I’m sure someone from BGR has contacted you by now trying to get more information out of you. So good job on keeping us updated, because BGR has been really bad at doing so. A quick question. It's been said that you were the first to release information about the release date for the original HTC Incredible. Is it possible you or someone else can send me the link of you confirming the release date. I’m not calling you a liar; I just would like to read it. Thank you for all your information on this new HTC HD device. Keep on keeping us updated!

Question for all that are desiring the phone:

Why are you not waiting for an LTE or Dual Core phone coming literally a couple of months later?

I do not live in a LTE area yet and I think Dual Core is overkill (at the moment). Do you have other reasons?
