I also know they are clearing the incredible or so it seems to me as Commercials are at an all time high on that device.

Im still looking at a silent launch and then a black friday ad on Thursday with a new for the holidays feel to it. I could be wrong i guess but that's what im told and expecting.

Well I think it's a combo of the Incredible HD release and the fact they want to show that it's here with the SLCD screen.

Question for all that are desiring the phone:

Why are you not waiting for an LTE or Dual Core phone coming literally a couple of months later?

I do not live in a LTE area yet and I think Dual Core is overkill (at the moment). Do you have other reasons?

I don't want to move to a tiered data package just yet. I think this will be the last high end / top tier device from VZW that is 3G (besides the iPhone4) as after CES in January I think all the new high end VZW devices will be LTE and carry a higher monthly bill.

Plus - I just like the look of this phone and after two years with a Storm am ready to get something different/better instead of waiting to see what the LTE options will be.

I suggest getting a one year contract though this time. Its $70 more, but worth it when you can upgrade to LTE next year. That's what I'm doing. :)

Slight side note, I am looking at this phone when I switch off of ATT soon. Just from poking around I thought I saw somewhere that even if you sign a 2 year contract, you can "renew" your contract every year and get the contract price of any phone? Just wanted to make sure this is right because I was going to give LTE a little while to get everything ironed out before I moved to it.

guys I am literally shakin' in my boots(as we texans say it) for the official scoop on this phone from miami. The anticipation is killin' me!! btw thanks for getting this out there miami

Again, this advice is sound IF you don't have an annual upgrade coming your way with a two-year contract. Otherwise, you might save the $70 and still upgrade your phone every year, right?

Its called the Annual Upgrade. Some here claim is doesn't exisit all I can tell you is I used it 14 months into my 2-year LG Dare contract started in 10/2008 and upgraded to a DROID 1 in 12/2009. I first discovered it when the website showed my the 2 year New Contract price and I was like ... whhaaa??? I called customer service and they said it was exactly what I saw.

Btw, The Nexus Two is being reported to be Released Nov 11th??? Honestly. I'd get that over this but I doubt that will come to Verizon. I prefer 4" to 4.3", Stock to Sense. But I will be very happy with either. I know most are disappointed the Nexus Two is not the flagship with Dual Cores, etc, but I think it will be a nice phone according to what all the blogs are saying (Gizmodo and Phandroid).

they always let me do that...

I live in the sticks, potential LTE coverage-wise, so, like mentioned before, I'm going to let them iron out some of the potential LTE bugs and set what the data plans look like.

That is definitely correct. I get a new phone every 12 months. They said that you can upgrade every year at the promo price because of the monthly amount. Here's a bonus.

This year (September) I got the Fascinate but took it back because of I really wanted an HTC. Now I returned via mail on a Thursday. That following Monday was Veteran's day so they didn't get the phone til Tuesday. My 30 days fell on that Monday, so they failed to automatically reset my annual upgrade. I called and they told me that it should have been credited and they had to do it manually. Because they did it manually they gave me the NE2 upgrade instead of the Annual. Now I get $50 off this beast!!

The Merge is soon to be released...as Verizon (despite not even officially announcing it yet) is giving it away this weekend in some contest in Seattle. I suspect we will see a Merge announcement next week and then an Incredible HD announcment the week before Thanksgiving.

Let's see what Miami has for us...hopefully it will fill in some gaps.

For me - I do not want the weight, thickness or complexit of a slider - so this Incredible HD is what I am waiting for.

i agree, but more importantly (for me) is that i have gotten used to Swype so physical keyboard is not longer needed imo and after seeing the droid X in person at a verizon store i knew my next phone had to be a 4.3 :)

Miami, You’re pretty famous on Google news right now about this phone being released. BGR doesn't even have an update AND they were the first to show off this phone. Even before Engadget for crying out loud. I’m sure someone from BGR has contacted you by now trying to get more information out of you. So good job on keeping us updated, because BGR has been really bad at doing so. A quick question. It's been said that you were the first to release information about the release date for the original HTC Incredible. Is it possible you or someone else can send me the link of you confirming the release date. I’m not calling you a liar; I just would like to read it. Thank you for all your information on this new HTC HD device. Keep on keeping us updated!

the dude doesnt have time to upload pics and your asking for proof of the dinc release date? cmon man go dig it up if you care that much.

i want 4.3 in phone, this one still can be dual core as i had reminded everyone of the scorpion device that was supposed to be dual core 1.3-1.5 ghz and same manufacture HTC and same screen size to hit verizon before end of 2010..

first LTE superphone will be the tegra 2 phone i think which is only 4 in.. may not be a big deal to most but i want that extra .3..

i to dont live in an area with LTE so its useless to me for the time being, and i dont want a first gen LTE phone as i assume they may be more buggy than the average new release..

probably most important of all is i bought the droid1 back in november 6th and had to watch everyone i know get and talk about there much better phones (spec wise) when i am the ones that introduced them to android in the first place while i sit back and be jealous lol

my turn to make others jealous for a few months lol.. and i always have an extra upgrade if need be so i am safe to buy now worry later..

my situation wont be the same as most but everyone that still has a droid 1 can agree on that part lol
