I can't help but laugh at those who try to pump the Bionic over the Bolt

Only a crazed HTC fanatic would think the TB is better than the not-yet-released Bionic. I had a TB and returned it due to its beyond terrible battery life, it's terrible antenna, and its marginal performance increase over the Dinc. Honestly, my iPhone is MUCH smoother even though it is 9 months older than the TB....

The Bionic will be faster, have better battery life, and will DEFINITELY have a better antenna with no "death grip" (I'm convinced the TB has one)
Also, no HDMI SUCKS, DLNA cannot share LIVE media... With a Bionic I would be able to HDMI to a TV, connect my Wii mote (which doesn't work with HTC) and play emulated games on the big screen. If you have kids that's the best thing on the planet!! A NES/SNES/N64/Genesis in your pocket that can be connected to a TV is much better than a media hub that can wirelessly be connected to share media files....

Well you have to know the difference in DDR Ram DDR2 Ram, things you can easily research (read) on your own. I am trying not to be byass, but the writing on the walls seem to be the same everywhere. Sorry you took it to heart being a Thuderbolt owner. I played with one, it was nice. Just not the new ****znick.
Verizon Thunderbolt 4G is not your dream phone, it’s the one after that – Android and Me

And, Rosie (Sense) does not speed up the UI.

I am very familiar with RAM, I'd rather have 768 of DDR1 than have 512 of DDR3 even. My D1 did just fine with its RAM's speed, it was the fact that it had a limited amount of RAM that was the problem. If my D1 had 768mb RAM, it would be going strong for a couple more years.

I don't take it to heart, i am not butt-hurt. You just called people fanboy's, while acting like one yourself.

3 out of my 4 android phones have been MOTO, i just decided i wanted to move in the opposite direction of Apple, instead of moving in their direction.

If someone prefers MOTO then that is awesome for them. I prefer some things about MOTO myself, i had slightly better battery life, and signal on them. I liked the way i could do a simple SBF if needed, and I had grown very familiar with the way they worked. Sadly they threw encryption on the bootloaders and lost my business.

The TB is a crazy phone. Its fast, blazing fast(not talking about the 4g, talking UI)

Its a little bulky for my liking but ill deal with that. the CPU has been pushed to 2GHz. The evos not even close to that.

Saying its an evo is wrong, Im coming from the evo. the TB is much faster. Once rooted battery life is just fine. We are going to see the same **** with any new phone, battery life blows till its rooted and devs get LV kernels out there.

In fact my TB beats the crap out of my brothers EVOs battery life even OCed to 1.4Ghz. (his is not rooted)

Is it the best phone? idk that depends on you, as far as I can see its a phone that does what I need, fast. I dont get really much FCing. Its no dual core ok, but the benchmark scores are crazy good. I can live with a 1700 score and not a 2500(though I could do that I guess if I keep it at 1,9Ghz or whatever that kernel does)

Agreed, but that's why I like having an unlocked bootloader. I'm not stuck with sense or blur. I'm de-sensed and it flies.

You ALL shouldn't be so judgmental toward each other, IT'S ALL ANDROID! There's no reason to be disrespectful toward each other, can't we have respectful conversation like adults! Or are you guys a couple teenagers?

As for the op, I don't think you're any better. Your topic in itself is disrespectful.

This has been a growing trend here at df lately, and it's sad...

Silly people, silly war threads. Why does it matter to you what phone another person thinks is best? It's always gonna be personal preference. Who really gets upset because someone else thinks their phone will be better than yours. Come on....

Why would I ever want to connect my phone to a tv? Seems counterproductive. As far as dual core verses single the atrix has dual core and actually was evenly matched to the thunderbolt winning some and losing some tests. All done on WiFi which actually slows the Thunderbolt down when compared to using LTE

You are right Hemrroid. I did do that, and for that I apologize. Just take back the comment about if your D1 had 768 of ram you would keep it for a couple of more years!!!.

To the OP. No offense at all my friend. If you are happy with the TB, that is great! Next year, we will all be in the same boat all over again.

Evo 3D looks insane by the way. It's to bad TB doesn't share SOME of the same specs as that one!

LOL, yeah, i'd be hurting looking at that 3.7" screen for that long.

I agree. My only disappointment was that presentations for work couldn't just plug and play on an overhead projector. Not really a huge deal but a silly thing to not include via USB as an option. Bad enough the port is on the wrong side.

Single core for the phone for most things is fine.

Woah... things kinda escalated in here, huh?

Anyway, I should probably clarify a few things.

1- When I said the Bionic would never be rooted, I meant TRUE root. Yes, you can go all halfsies and have access to the root directory and flash themes, but you will never be able to unlock the bootloader, and thus, you're really still at the mercy of Moto and Verizon in how fast your device can be and how often you are able to update. If Verizon decides the Bionic is not going to be supported anymore, you're SOL in terms of updating. With the TBolt, this will never be a problem, which is why I got it. Its the one phone that is the most like the original Droid, where it will still be updated by ROM Devs long after Verizon decides its outdated.

2. As for the HDMI out... Not that I personally think this is a big deal, but the specs of the HTC Multimedia Dock will come with HDMI compatibility, so that will not be an issue in the future for those of you who are inclined to do that.

First, it's not anything at all like the original Droid. It's not Motorola, and it's not even a Droid. Yes, I understand you're talking about rooting. Don't get me wrong I understand how great the TB is. I don't know where you get the idea that it is always going to be supported? Everything runs out of support in time.

IMHO another stupid HTC decision. Why would I care to send video out of my phone when it's docked at home? It's never an issue at home. Have numerous devices to use for hi-def and video out. It's on the road that I care, e.g. captured video on the phone I've brought over to a friends house who only has a TV with HDMI inputs. Unless I hear differently, it seems more of the same inane engineering done for this device. As a phone, all you really needed was speed and memory and the speed part was most noticeable, processing and data transfer. But everything else is an eye rolling wonder.
