Manually Update to 2.0.1

Meticode same thing happen to me, go back and rename the file update (with no .zip).. try it now.

The file is exactly named "update.zip" the .zip being the file extension. Deleting it won't fix my problem because it's finding the file but it's not verifying it.

Did follow the whole tread so forgive me if you did it already, but have you tried re-downloading the file? Maybe it's corrupted.

*sighs* anyone konw what the hell is wrong? Still getting this message when the exact file name of the file is "update.zip" on the home directory of the sdcard. The .zip is the file extension. So in otherwords when I unhide the file extensions on my PC the whole file name is indeed update.zip and I stil get this message...

Yes, I've redownloaded the 10.1MB file 3 times now.

Much faster/better in every way so far.

Huge improvement I have noticed is Google Maps. Before the update, when connected to WiFi, much of the time when zooming in/out or scrolling, the map would not update at all and have blank areas. Now it seems to work great.

Ok I got a weird one. i tried to do it but it said abort update at the end. i rebooted the phone and got the new homescreen and it says its running firmware 2.0.1

Figured it out, had something to do with my passphrase being way too long, works fine with a shorter one.

Worked fantastic. The new unlock is ok ... the old unlock seem to flow better with my natural hand movement. Wish i had an option for the old widgets as well but idk.

Facebook is buggy and handcent isnt showing contact pics but sure that will be fixed.

I'm loving the new unlock. Shorter motion means quicker to unlock (at least for me). It should also help when answering calls as well.

I got this too at first. If you look at your baseband version, it's probably still at the old version. If you run the update again, it should rectify this.

Handcent will have a market release soon. I have a special updated version he directly sent me and its working fine on 2.0.1!

My guess is he will have it on the market within 24h.

Just updated.

Day of the week now displays on lock screen.
Menus are much more smooth. Works well with Panda Home. Pull over shortcut menus are much more responsive.
power control widget looks better
