More Froyo

And, don't know if anyone said this already but the mototorch flashlight widget works in this froyo leak 2.

There's actually 3 leaks out

Where is the third. Mydroidworld only shows 2

There is the original from saturday.
Then the one from late last night that showed up here... FRFxx
And then the one on Droid-Life which is actually identical but displays the FRF57 build number.

So while technically there are 3 out there, in reality there are only 2 since both of the once that appeared in the last 24 hours are apparently identical in every way.

For those who have not flashed froyo....

STOP

Ask yourself: "DID I MAKE A NANDROID BACKUP"

If you have not, as soon as you get 2.1 with sprecovery make a nandroid backup first:
http://www.droidforums.net/forum/hacking-solutions/48705-how-make-nandroid-backup.html

There are people who for what ever reason need/want to go back to 2.1. If you make a nandroid backup all you would have to do is flash it,wipe data, wipe cache, reboot.

After you make your backup continue on with the instructions. Oh and Please make sure you have at least 60% battery life before flashing a rom. Get a battery widget, they are free. THe battery notification does not go yellow until 30%.

Continue on.

quick qustion about wiping that this made me think of. on mine I did a adv backup, then wiped data/cache then cache partions. then flashed 2.2. should i have flashed 2.2 first, then wiped?

So I downloaded the ClockworkMod file from the OP and put it in my backup folder.

Just to be safe I wiped data/wipe cache 3 times each. I then did a restore of the backup and loaded my phone up. I looked at my build and it still says FRFxx

I thought this was the FRF57 build?

It is.

10charmin

So I am good to go with the latest FroYo build? I can start installing the kernels etc..?

You are correct.

(wish it would let me simply say YES.)

Thank you for clearing that up.

I did the install from my phone without a wipe. Sorry if it has been answered but how do i know its the newest, and I downloaded the 1.25 kernel but setcpu only shows 600 max. Is that right?

when you installed the new froyo did you flash that 1.25 kernel again

Nope.
You wipe data and cache first. Then restore the backup... then do a kernel.

There's actually 3 leaks out.

Sent from my Droid using Tapatalk
but they are all the same exact build...

alldroid, df, mdw, droid-life all have the same build.

Alldroid and Droidmod were the first to release the one we are all using. The test keys are meaningless.

really I cant get it to work!!!

Dunno! It was force closing on me for the first leak. I just did the new nandroid, no wiping data and I started the mototorch app in the app drawer, I accepted whatever was there, hah, I didn't read it and the widget worked.

Maybe try and go into the app first!?

Im not sure. I changed it to update.zip and allowed update. what did I miss? I thought i did it right:)

What I was asking was when you installed 1.25 kernel, if you installed it on saturday (of for the first build), then you install the second build. You will have to flash 1.25 kernel again.

Have you guys tried using Sun Lite? It is kind of a quirky app but it is much brighter than the flashlight in MotoTorch. It is as bright as when you are actually taking a picture with the camera. Pretty sweet and opens fast!

I had the 1000installed from saturday then i tried to change it to the 1.25 just a bit ago. Was i wrong? What should i do to fix it if I did and how do I flash it? Sorry for all the questions. Im doing this at work from my droid and the threads move pretty fast.
