More Froyo

Im not sure. I changed it to update.zip and allowed update. what did I miss? I thought i did it right:)

What I was asking was when you installed 1.25 kernel, if you installed it on saturday (of for the first build), then you install the second build. You will have to flash 1.25 kernel again.

I had the 1000installed from saturday then i tried to change it to the 1.25 just a bit ago. Was i wrong? What should i do to fix it if I did and how do I flash it? Sorry for all the questions. Im doing this at work from my droid and the threads move pretty fast.

make sure the update.zip file on you sdcard is not the baseband file or some other file. What I do is open my sdcard and delete the current update.zip file. Then I install the new kernel zip file rename it update.zip (update for windows7) reboot into recovery, allow update, install update, reboot.

the kernels.

I did that except the delete the first one part. I will retry that. How do i know its right? Will it show when i click setcpu?

If only there was an easier way to tell which version was FRF57, since there is more than one out. It doesnt even tell u after u install it. u just have to make sure u check the version where ever u get it from.

The first version, MotoTorch didnt work. in FRF57, they both do.

I'm running one of these and am unable to make Wifi Tether work... so I assume these don't have netfilter enabled?

Which wifi tethering app are you using. Wifi tetherby lemons work for me.

hey guys, first time poster.

I just updated to this and the everything works great except the marketplace. I installed the fix and cleared the cache, but it still takes a good minutes or two to load everytime. even when I click an app it takes an additional minute to load that next screen. basically makes this unusable. anyone know how i can fix this?

i installed the latest baseband too.

Barnacle Wifi Tether is working for me. All I had to do was wait for the pop up to give it SU permissions and everything worked.

Dorid-life has "voles-userdebug 2.2 FRF57 38829 test-keys" this morning. Do I use a file in this thread or use the one from Droid-life? I'm confused. I'm currently using a version from Sat..
they are all the same...I checked all packages.

versions are all identical one is not more recent than the others.
Was wondering if you checked this one too?
No edit dang it...lol

This might sound odd, but your bank might have blocked purchases from google checkout. (This happened to me a couple of times until i made a very angry call to my bank). I had the same problem, all paid apps would be stuck at "authorizing" even though I got a confirmation e-mail.

Called the Credit Card company. They have no record of anything even being attempted. Not even a $2.99 hold. The CC company thinks there is an issue on Google's end. Probably with the data they have on file for me. Off to find what that is!

Well I have it finally. As soon as I logged in to my account from the PC and hit show purchases, it showed up on the phone 10 seconds later.

No clue why or how that caused it to work but at least now I can go back to testing :)

I have been stuck at authorizing purchase (Root Explorer) for about an hour. I have applied the fixes and still no go. Also have canceled the download then started over with same hang up.

I did a refund thinking that it would go thru the second time but it is hanging up too.

I logged into checkout hoping that somehow that would help. I can see where it has been purchased but it is still stuck on the phone.

There is only one file outl....All files are the same..unless modded. I personally dont see a reason for a custom rom on Froyo..just overclock ti and add wifi tether and you are good to go

Its nice to have some of the features and such that Cyanogen and other roms provide :). But yes, this thing cant be improved that much i dont think...

working great here!

would like to point out that with the same apps installed, i went from ~60mb ROM free to ~90mb ROM free. also, with 2.1, my free RAM always hovered around ~10mb. on 2.2, i always have ~20mb free RAM.

because of the free RAM, video records MUCH better. i have not had any pixelation or out of sync issues that i always had with 2.1. it even seems that the camera with flash works a little better in low light conditions.

anybody know what the 2.2 car dock looks like on the N1? ours doesn't seem finished yet, and has some blank spaces on the 2nd screen.
