Well, what do you know.......the one I have says FRF57 in the About Screen....I didnt get it from here last night, I got it from somewhere else.

See......and my keys said 38829.....

Confusion is abound. This is what I was talking about....

ALL THESE BUILDS ARE IDENTICAL. Whether you download it here, alldroid, MDW or wherever THEY ARE THE SAME EXACT BUILD.

Some files were just modified to cover some butts on our end and MDW's.

Just give up CK because you will be saying it until they release the official 2.2. Its a freaking beta and people are going about it like it is the real deal. Its going to have issues that is why it has not been "officially" released yet. We are not suppose to have it. If the person who leaked it was to get caught it could prob cost him/her their job. Just enjoy it or go back to 2.1 and wait it out for the official 2.1.

Someone tell me how the whole extracting thing works exactly?

I extract it and it extracts into like 3 folders. Do I put all folders into the phone and what I use to actually install it?

I had Froyo on it but wanted to restart it cause first time I didn't factory reset and wanted best performance. But I did that with just one straight zip file, I didn't have to extract anything, but I can't find that link anywhere now from P3 and the one on my PC doesn't work, and the newer leaked one didn't work for me either. They have 7o MB but when I click install it just kind of flickers and says it's installed but no way it installs that fast, and of course it doesn't work. What's going on?

This rom works better for me heat wise but feels slower.


Do. GIF work now because they seem to be in the browser for me.

all these builds are identical. Whether you download it here, alldroid, mdw or wherever they are the same exact build.

but if the one in this thread and the one from saturday both say frfxx how are you supposed to tell the difference? Those builds are not identical. That's his point.

Pilot and CK, I'm curious about why you guys are so anti-knowledge on this subject? We are all experimenters, and we are all people who like to toe the line and be cutting-edge on this type of stuff. We are all probably somewhat phone geeks. What's the problem with being curious as to why some of the numbers are different?

If you guys don't want to talk about it, I understand 100%, but are the rest of us allowed to have a civil conversation about it? I thought that was the point of a forum like this. To further knowledge and help each other out by teaching others.

OK not sure where this will take the discussion, but I went to alldroid and dloaded their rom. I redid my phone, wiped and loaded the alldroid rom and it also has FRFxx 33333 test-keys

Can't be bothered to sift through the pages so forgive me if I'm repeating, but the Froyo leak is now on ROM Manager under stock images. Both new basebands are there as well.

okay I need some major help here

I'm currently on the old 2.2 build. I want to install the newer one. When I reboot my droid while holding x, to get to the recovery menu, all the phone does is stay on the motorola logo. Once I let go of x it just reboots the phone.

any ideas? :\

If you are using version 1.8.7.5 of ROM Manager, there are issues with not being able to boot into recovery. Try reverting to 1.8.7.4 and flash recovery again, worked for me.

I would hope everyone knows there is a difference in builds from the Saturday release to this one : )

after you extrct the file. Open the folder. You should see a bds file. Move that file to the nandroid file on your droid

But, its not that simple CK....When About screens are changed. I wish it was. If there are app fixes in the latest, batter stability, more faster, wouldnt u wanna be absolute sure u installed that?

Thats why at the end I said folks just need to pay attention to the version in the OP from wherever u get it from.
