More Froyo

Wow I'm having real battery issues. Less then 4 hours and my battery was sucked dry! Just surfed a couple of sites and checked email.

Put my wife's battery in my Droid now and its down to 80 percent. Wifi is off and using limited apps.

But loving this Froyo anyways. Though this battery issue could be a deal breaker.

had the same issue the first day with the older frf47 release. let it run down completely dead to actually turn the device off. then fully charge it without ever unplugging it and see what you get. there is a battery calibration file forget what it is but until it is in sync and refresh for highs and lows things seem to act weird to say the least.

Perhaps flashing the new basebands may also assist...

Battery life is horrendous (compared to what I'm used too) so I had to dump Froyo into the garbage disposal. Not worth it to me.

Not to mention its pretty plain after being on Dark Edge.

Got my taste of it and ill wait for some other builds to be released.

Battery Drain

It seems to me that when I use the email (corporate), that the upload/download is constantly running. I believe this is draining my battery. Has anyone else noticed this?

I can agree with that view ...

I haven't finished my batt life eval, but haven't heavily used it either.

I like the small tweaks made, in msging, call log, etc. I haven't yet tried flash itself.

I'm sure it "should" get better. [cross fingers]

Yeah, I didn't like the temps I was getting either, although that was on the "early" leak.

I'm waiting for CyanogenMod 6.0.

Yep, the battery life is brutal to say the least.

I'm considering doing a nandroid backup and then checking out BB1.1/DE
I hadnt updated from BB1.0 when these evaluation builds of Froyo came out..t his might be the perfect excuse to do so.

Tho I know as soon as a new leak comes out I'll be wiping again.. LOL

Little problem here, any help?
Just noticed that my 2 folders - Misc Apps and Games on one of my screens is AGAIN empty???

NE1 have the same issue? Any fix or suggestion?

TIA

Sadly I had to go back to BuglessBeast. I kept getting random reboots with both Froyo releases and it became very annoying.

Has anyone else experienced any of these random reboots?

is it worth updating now or should I wait. Most things but a few 3rd party apps are working for me fine. So right now I think Im good till people start telling us whats newly added in certain releases. I have seen 3 or 4 I guess now but am reluctant to start over only to find out there's a newer better one out again in a few days.

That or i'll wait for Pete's BB release for froyo.

It's worth the update now.

Yeah but patience is a virtue. :)

You won't need as much patience with the new Baseband....made my phone freakin' fly. ;)

Some ppl have, I havent. I tried the orig leak Sat, a ROM of the Sat one form somewhere Sun, and this one Mon. No reboots on any.

Maybe the reboots are a kernel issue.

Somethings not right with your battery life. I ran ADAMZ, BB1.0 and 1.1 and now Froyo 2.2 FRF57, with baseband C_01.43.01P, and over clock, 1.25 kernel with setcpu at "ondemand" 500-1100 mhz.

My battery life is great!

I surf, listen to radio, read from e-book and have stock quotes updated.

The battery lasts all day after charging each night while I sleep.

The worst battery life I have had was when I had Adamz and the phone kept trying to update itself.

There was some talk about whether or not the link at MDW and the link we have are the same Froyo a bit back.

I have installed the Froyo from the link at MDW and it is the exact same build.

I have even changed the links on the front page to go to that same link. So there shouldn't be any difference. There never was.

From what it seems. the diff in all droids and the others is all droid may have change some things to try to "improve stability". MDW removed info that could get the leaker in trouble, and dl just renamed the file.
