Motorola Droid Bionic Joins the Droid Family!

Does anyone know if the Bionic will have the same HDMI Apps that are shown here on the Atrix? Or is this exclusive to that phone?

If the bootloader is locked I have no interest Motorola. The Thunderbolt is interesting though, wonder if HTC will lock it like the G2 or leave it open.

Here is a question. If the bootloader is locked, would you all look around at other phones? The LG Optimus 2x perhaps? If the specs are pretty close, would an unlocked bootloader help make your decision to go with one phone over another?

The biggest requirement I have is the Nvidia Tegra 2 or the ORION. New TI OMAP Dual Core would get me a second look but they are not ready yet. I simply will not waste my money/upgrade on anything less than these 3 proccesors. If said device was unlocked and ran one of these processors I would definitely take a look at it.

For me, the bootloader doesn't matter. I have a X now with a locked bootloader, and I am rooted, I can overclock, use roms, and themes. All of the extra stuff doesn't matter. What matters to me is my phone's specs, build quality, reception, and battery life.

Ck said it perfectly. I feel the exact same way.

You will care when motorola and verizon decide its time for you to buy a new phone (history shows usually 1 year after release). The roms you are seeing on the dx are just themes. They are not roms. Roms will never be possible on the dx.

Seeing that Optimus 2X video, it seems almost a crime to get an LTE phone without a dual core.

I'd like to see a comparison with the Thunderbolt, but that bit showing the speed of a fully-rendered mobile page with video was incredibly impressive and what browsing on a smartphone should be.

All else more or less equal (and it pretty much is), no 3G phone can really come close to competing with dual core LTE, unless price becomes a factor (which it might).

I think the main reason people might get the TB and/or the LG phone is the release date is a bit sooner (at least I hope they are)

No doubt, and that's why the TB is coming out with mostly old tech because it will sell very, very well for a few months until more powerful LTE phones come out., then they knock $50-$100 off the price and it will fill a mid-value need in the LTE segment.
