You realize that you don't buy a car from the factory until it's finished, right? Navigation was one of Verizon's top selling points for the Droid. Expecting it to be a finished product is pretty damn reasonable in my opinion. If it's beta, not advertised as such, you have every right to complain. You guys do realize that Google Navigation is in beta and not a final release version right? Complaining at this point is like complaining you have issues after taking a car from the factory before it's done being built. Yeah the car might start and drive, but your seatbelts and/or radio might not be installed. Wait till the app is in a release version before complaining about it's lack of features. Not saying they'll add what you're saying is missing but be patient and thankful Google was nice enough to release it in an unfinished state.
Anyway, making known what features you want is the only way to get them added.
Expecting a BETA to be a finished product is never "pretty damn reasonable" lol. I'm guessing it's safe to say you aren't in the software industry? You realize that you don't buy a car from the factory until it's finished, right? Sorry for the bad car analogy... let me put it in simpler terms so you're not confused.
You buy anything. It has a stamp on it that says "not finished yet". Chances are it's not finished yet. Make sense?
As far as navigation being a selling point... are you unable to navigate with the beta version? Or does it just not have all the bells and whistles a FINISHED software product has?
Also, if you want to make known your feature requests try the appropriate place. Google is great at taking advice on the sites they set up... not so great when voiced in an off topic forum thread.

I totally get what you meant. Main selling point of the droid was the Google Nav, maybe because its free and no need to pay $10 to VZW every month. If you think about it, the entire device is "beta", a protocol that will only get better and better with updates and upcoming droid devices. Perfect example is the Blackberry Storm, 1st one sucked and the second one is a lot better with less issues. Hopefully the GPS will get better
