I'm rooted and would like to try to keep root, my (?) Is I have Voodoo rootkeeper on my phone not sure what to do next. Anybody know what I do next? Please help thanks in advance!

Glad to hear the resolution of the 4g data drops. It was a pain... Just finished downloading and installing. I like the new "About Phone" page too. I did not hear the Hallelujah Chorus, though...

You're welcome on the other post. You should turn Safe Mode off and uninstall Safestrap through its own option because when it's installed, it hijacks the boot loader which might interrupt the updating process. I'm not sure if that's totally correct technically but if you go back to as close to stock as you can, the better your chances of updating.

Thanks for this post. After reverting back for the OTA I got annoyed that the update wasn't coming through so I reflashed the leaked 173 and loaded 174. I now have definitive proof that I'm running current updates. Though what the guy who released the leak said made perfect sense to me (hence I reflashed before knowing for sure).

I believe that is correct--you need to use the uninstall option in Safestrap. When I applied the update manually, ALL instructions in ALL of the Web pages were very explicit that the only way to install the leaked update was via stock recovery.

173 is the build number. 174 is a leak that is suppose to fix some force close issue involving the search feature while in some screen.

update failing on my end as well. Trying for 3rd time. No safestrap, unrooted, all bloat intact and unfroze. Very weird.......

Just updated with the ota. Kept my root. No data problems that I can see of. Different icons. And before u ask no I'm not part of the soak test nor ever will be.
