does anyone here know if this discount if goin to stay on ur account when u get a 4g plan

Pretty sure they haven't released how they will charge for 4G or if they will; so there is no way to know what will happen.

I'm guessing the best we can hope for is an additional "technology" fee of $10 like Sprint added to each "4G Capable" phone line. (and now seemingly to every line, right?)

I was told by the rep that simply updating your device will not change your plan. If you change any feature of your actual plan, then you will lose the promotion.

I'm going to try. The rep told me that the iPhone uses the exact same data plan as any other Verizon smartphone. Simply activating a different device doesn't alter your calling/data plan.

And we all know they love to sell phones, so I doubt seriously you'd lose the promo. If you change your plan, that's another story.....

Weird. They told me it ended today.. oh well. I told them that I got an email about it. They didn't ask questions....

Call again. After a few times, someone will give it to you. Make sure you say that you got an email for it

I called twice told them I received an email and they said their records show that I never was sent the email and that they could not offer that promotion to me but to keep checking my verizon online for any offers. So I'm sol and the deal is over

Speaking of which, are we like going backwards on the communication scale? first morse code, the telegraph, telephone, pager, cellphone, Text and Twitter... WTF =)

I guess I waited 2 days too long to add a new line... now I can't add one at $20 for unlimited everything... I can only add a $10 regular phone, plus $29.99 for data to this plan... grrr... this plan should just be standard for verizon... everyone and their mother would jump ship from AT&T if they offered it... or at least keep it running for anyone that's been with verizon for more than a year or 2... very disappointed, but at least I have this plan on 2 of my lines

just to give an update.... I called back and talked to someone else who told me that there was no way to add the line under the new plan since the promotion was over... talked for about 5 minutes, decided I would just add a regular line for my daughter... the woman asked what phone I wanted, I said "well, I have no idea because I was planning on getting a Droid X. I'll have to look at them" and she says something like "let me just check one more time and make sure there is nothing I can do"

hold a few minutes... "great news, I just found out that since you were already on the promotion i can add another line at the promotion rate"

My Droid X will be here tomorrow, I'll swap it with my phone and my daughter will get the old beat up droid

only $20/month more, which comes out to about the same as I was paying for 2 droids before this promotion!

^Yeah, there shouldn't be any reason why the promo wouldn't work on additional lines. I asked several times about that when I set this up. Great that it finally worked out for you. Enjoy your x!
