New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

Called number - just said "I have received some info on the $69.99 unlimited plan" - rep said yup that is a great deal let me set that up for you. Never asked about email or anything. I never did get an email. Saving $40 a month and took all of 3 minutes. dancedroid

Thought i might shed a little more light on how my phone call went.

I called the number on the ad in the OP. I entered my phone number and acct password. A lady answered, and asked who she was talking to. I said my name, and that i was calling to see about the new unlimited data/texting plan. She pulled up my info, told me how much i would save, and made me aware that it was only on the 1400 min plan (i was on 700) She verified that both phones on my fam plan were using internet. She then looked at my usage and said we would have to start talking more. Setup my plan to immediately switch and prorate for the month.

I never mentioned where or when i saw it, or anything about an email.

Good luck to you all, keep trying!

By the way, I am from Missouri, if they are saying it is a regional thing.

Those being told no, just curious, are you carrying a past due balance maybe or a poor pay history? Just throwing ideas out there.

I got it on my first try. She did ask me how I got this promotion I said the Internet. She's like the Internet huh? lol and then continued to giving me the promotion so instead of 90 bucks a month it's a sweet 80 bucks, with unlimited texting and friends and family woo!! I always go over my minutes haha now I won't and I'll save 10 dollars! Extended contract but really who else am I going to go to? AT&T? lol no I'm good.

Just called the number in the OP again, stated since I did not get the email/text I am cannot recieve the promo rate. I was honest, and the rep said she appreciated the honesty, and that if I did state I got the email/text, they could look it up to determine if in fact I did. She stated that this started last week and I could get an email/text in the future, and if I do, then I can get the promo rate.

This is a bit halfass by Verizon. They are basically jerking around a ton of customers, depending on what rep you call and get.

Yup. I feel your pain. They should either stick to the policy of you only get this offer if you got the e-mail, or extend it to everyone who calls.

Not that I expect anything from it, but I will be writing a letter, just to express my confusion on the issue, and that I don't understand their choice to single out customers.

Ive been a longtime customer, always pay in full on time, and told the rep of that, and she stated there are plenty like me in the same boat, and who aren't getting the promo rate and she understands its not fair, but nothing she can do.

Lets be honest, I pay 90 bucks now, so with the 20 bucks off it would be 70. Is it breaking the bank no, but its the principle of the matter, that its the luck of the draw, its not cool for Verizon to treat goodstanding customers like this, who they are refusing the offer to.

I agree. The 20 bucks won't break the bank, but I don't understand why some are being extended the offer while others aren't. People are mentioning some reps aren't even asking about the e-mail... so because someone isn't doing their job we get the shaft?

I'm just looking for some rhyme & reason to how these are being handed out. Seems to me it's just 'at will' which isn't cool on Verizon's part.

... and yes, I'm a bit peeved I am getting the run around.... like I said, give it only to those who have the e-mail, or everyone who calls...

Definitely I agree. I even have the current plan its suppose to apply to, the 59.99 plus unlimited data. And I see people in this thread with other packages who are getting the deal without the current plan mentioned in the ad, lol.......I just shake my head at stuff like this.

i don't think that is it i actually I'm on a payment arrangement with them and they still gave me the offer its just a matter of who you talk to and how you interact with them !

it's definitely who you talk to... but interaction seems to play no part.

For a rep to answer the phone, not mention the e-mail and just go right into setting up the offer on an account... this requires nothing more than saying your name.

Congrats to those who got the offer... I'm just looking for continuity in their decision making process... but there appears to be ZERO.
