New Unlimited Plan from Big Red?

Since I cant edit my last post. It frustrates me quite a bit that some people are offerered this, while others are not. Same exact service for a lower price? But not for me, No soup for you!

I can't take advantage of this until Jan 1 2011......... I signed up for my acct with VZW through letstalk.com.. If I change my plan they lose their commissions.. IF they lose their commissions they charge me FULL PRICE for the phones! I hope this deal is still around.

Nope I dont think thats a problem. Lets talk gets commission because you signed a two year contract it doesnt depend on what kind of plan. i bought droid x for 70 bucks last month and i switched day before yesterday to new plan no problem.

I just called and said I was interested in their unlimited text, data, mobil to mobile promo and I'm now saving $30 a month on my wireless bill! :icon_ banana:

Second phone call in. And im set. She said its exactly the plan I had, but 20 cheaper a month. I do remember the first rep saying that they are cracking down on who gets the promo. The second was happy to switch me. Like I said, she even told me its exactly the same plan. Just 20 less. I am less disgruntled now haha

Ok, in an earlier post, I saw that someone was talking about using Friends and Family on the 450 minute plan and having to call in to get it added.

Is that free? I may have missed an earlier deal with F&F, but I thought you had to have 700 minutes. I'd love to get it added to my current plan (i got in on this deal as well.)

I did get F&F 5 added to my 450 minutes when I called in. As far as I'm aware it's free.

Never got an e-mail or a mailer, so I've been told by no less than 5 different reps that I'm not eligible for the promotion (even though I have a $350 / mo bill and have been a customer for 15 yrs). :icon_evil: Are people who are succeeding calling *611 or the 877 number that is in the ad? Any other ideas on getting this, other than to keep rep surfing?

Only called the 877 number. Don't mention the email. I told them I was cruising the net and saw they had a promotion on unlimited text/data. First time I mentioned email, and was denied

Well as with the rest of this thread, seems there is inconsistency on whether all phones need the data or not. Guess I'll call and find out what they tell me. I have to wait until Saturday as that is my date for NE2 so I can upgrade my phone and get the BOGO for the Droid 2!

I've called and asked several times about putting F&F on my 450 plan under this new deal and they've consistently told me I have to have at least the 900 minute plan at $89.98/mo to do so. I even mentioned that a bunch of people on here have gotten that deal and mentioned posts exactly like this and they told me not to believe everything I read in internet forums and that they can guarantee me that there is no one with 450 minute plans with F&F as they do not have the option to add that. WTF? I know that there's not mass hypnosis going on with droidforums members and I also know there's not a group of people conspiring to lie about it on here either. Why would Verizon reps, multiple of them, tell me this? For now I'm on the $89.98/mo plan, which does save me money over previous, but I can save much more on the 450 if I had F&F. I want F&F 450!

I was on U.S. Mobile and they was bought out by Verizon.

Just called and got this 1st time without any problems. Just said that I was inquiring about the new unlimited plan and the rep swapped me over with no problems whatsoever. I did ask about the friends and family but she did say that I needed to be on a plan with 900 minutes or higher though.
