New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

I received the shipping notification on Sunday around 8pm. I checked the FedEx link and it showed the my package was in Memphis and shows that the shipping information was send in @ 4am on the 23rd. My status has not changed since then. The FedEx site and the email show that I would receive the phone on the 25th.

Just not sure why the FedEx site hasn't updated since 4am yesterday morning?

Same here, someone probably didn't update their scans or something. Fedex is normally really good about updating their systems.

SAME HERE TOO! I called today about this BS. My X has been sitting in Memphis since SUNDAY and the lady at FedEx honestly told me it was probably there Friday evening! I then called VZW and asked them why it is still sitting in Memphis. The answer I got "you were told the 25th so that is when you will get it". I about yelled back, but was calm and said that is unfair that my X has been sitting in TN for nearly 3 days when I ordered 2 day shipping.

VZW then called FedEX and put me on hold and 100% promised it would be here tomorrow even though it is STILL in TN right now.

I'm happy it will be here tomorrow, but pissed it has sat in FedEx's hands for nearly 3+ days. Now I'm just praying I get a PERFECT phone without issues!

Same deal, should be here tomorrow. Im sure that fedex just hasnt updated their tracking stuff. Im just glad it shipped earlier then i was told last (the 31st) so im real happy. A super fun unboxing tomorrow. I feel like a kid waitin for christmas mornin.

My phone left on it's journey home 2 hours ago. Hooray, finally out of Memphis. haha

*just noticed that it left at 4:13pm today, electronic shipping was received at 4:13am yesterday (after it arrived at the fedex location, crazy?)... weird that both times were 4:13

Got email today 08/24 at 3 P.M with tracking number. Went to Fedex site and it was picked up in Memphis, ETA 08/25 before 3 P.M.

Shipped today (8/24), overnighted and scheduled to arrive at 3pm tomorrow (8/25). Too bad I'm on vacation and won't be home until the 29th

I would suggest people shop around before ordering online. I literally just walked into walmart like 2 days ago and got one, they had like 3.

Thought about that.
BUT, Costco/WalMart (both seem to have phones in stock) charge 199$ per phone.
I'm a new customer. Verizon store sold me the phone for 179 (To match the price of NewEgg), and waived activation fee (Note: I think online they don't charge activation fee for new customers... ?). WalMart can't, and won't do that. saved me 60$. Also, WalMart and Costco can't give existing customers their NewEvery2 Discounts...

Now.. the eternal question, is ... was it worth waiting 2 weeks for 60$.

i ordered my droid x in store on august 10 or so and when i asked why it hasnt come yet the rep told me that it wont ship until a month. so i canceled in store and order directly from vzw on the phone on august 20. the rep told me that it would take 2 business days if i do it that way and not online. i called today and was told that the phone is gonna ship until sept 7. any possibility i will receive it before that? also when i put my order number in the vzw order status it says it doesnt exist.. verizon is really letting me down for the first time in so long.. Also did anyone order there on august 15 to 20 and recieved it early?

For those that have ordered recently, (and didn't read the entire 100+ pages of the thread.... , the usual wait is 9-14 days.

Mine will be 12 days (ordered 11th, getting it today). Others that ordered more recently are also getting theirs today however.. it totally depends on when VZW gets them in.

All I can say, is be patient... I'm sure it's worth the wait.
