New X orders now will not ship until the 18th.. Yeah right

Ordered a replacement X on the 22nd, Ship date of the 8th... Last time I ordered on Aug 2nd, got the phone on the 14th I think.

Its taking slightly over a week to get the phone, don't worry its on its way folks!

I was lucky; I had a problem with mine. Called cust service day before, and and got mine yesterday. I have to say my replacement is much better than my original. The buttons are more solid, and the screen seems to be much better. Oh also it doesn't do that crazy back n forth from 1x to 3G as much. Overall much much better.dancedroid

Mine does that alot too... I didnt think it was a common issue, maybe so. This X is a nice phone but it has some really weird issues... screen is unresponsive when its charging, loses 3g in great coverage, sends incoming calls to voicemail after 2-3 rings (never actually rings on the phone) and my screen has a dime sized discoloration on the screen.

How is this possible? Apparently they are not using FIFO.

I'm in the same boat I believe. I ordered 8/16 it processed on the 17th and when I check the status it says it will ship 8/31. This means it'll be the 1st or 2nd when it hits my front door. :rating02:

Got the phone yesterday and WOW!! I am really amazed at the internet and how fast the phone is. I mean FAST! Ok time to spend a few hours just looking for apps to fill up 7 screens. It took me about 16 days to get my phone BTW.

It would be nice if the lucky people who get their phones would post the order date, tracking or email notice date and arrival date. It would give the rest of us something to gauge how long our suffering will continue.

Mine does that alot too... I didnt think it was a common issue, maybe so. Me I would send it back, we pay good money for these phones, and along with good coverage my friend we pay premium price for customer service....

Its probably as useful as the store people telling you. Its vague and just says the typical blah - "Due to overwhelming demand your DX ordered 8/17 is due to ship 8/31"

I ordered on the 16th and it was processed on the 17th. So here I am waiting, as I see people who ordered on the 18th and up receiving their phones. This sucks. I'm addicted to checking my email and Verizon to see if my beloved DX has shipped. I know my order # by heart..I know I'm cool.

For that very reason, I will be bugging the folks at the V store for the next week or so.

Why can they not tie a store order to an email address for notification?
