Well folks I went had and cancelled my ordered that I made on the 18th of August and went and got my Droid X from Walmart for $199. To all of you that is still awaiting these jacked up shipments. Sorry and I feel ya' pain. All I can say is go check your local stores. I got lucky I guess. Our walmart here tho still has three in stock. Oh well folks I guess this is my retirement from the Droid X forums. It's been real and it's been a pleasure, but I have definitely paid my dues. HollA!!!

hey did any one get a rep that said we will charge $1 on your card till the order ships then when it ships charge the rest of the total amount? thats what the lady told me and still charged the whole amount the same day!

Ordered mine on 8/19 and order status is showing a ship date of 9/6...I reallllly hope it ships sooner, I can barely stand the wait. Like others, i've already bought my case, invisible shield, etc and I'm running out of patience.

i ordered mine on the 20th and was told a ship date of 2 business days and when i called they told me the 7th. i also bought the case and screen protectors. i cant even check my order status because it says it has technical issues.. my order better be in the system or verizon and i are gonna have a problem. :icon_evil:

well called them tonight just to double check they said it was shipped and gave me a tracking number checked it out says in transit and will be to me before 3 pm cant wait to see the fed ex guy tomorrow

Ok so here is my personal scoop on the Droid X. First, this is my first smart phone, revious phone ENV2 touch: So far this phone has smoked all my expectations, even with all they hype surrounding this phone. This phone is well worth the wait despite the "in stock" order of others.

I received an X almost a week earlier than original generic E.T.A. from Verizon. Phone has blown away all phones I have seen or touched before!!!!!! The apps are over the top, in a good way!
There are so many apps to choose from, it is confusing to a non droid user. dd

All I can say is whatch your step, around those areas.
