****Official FroYo Rollout Thread-Version2!****

I'm in Dillon, SC, and I got the update on my phone around 7:30 this morning. It didn't take long at all (maybe 5 minutes), but I realized once I got to work that the vibration function doesn't seem to be working at all. It goes from the lowest volume setting to the vibrate icon, with no setting for silent. So now vibrate = silent? It's already been quite annoying...it's "Droid"'d about a dozen times already this morning, but I can't turn the sound off without worrying about missing a call!

Any else having this problem or have any advice?

The sound>vibrate>silent feature was disabled due to the complaints of too many users accidentaly putting their phone on silent. The only way to do this now is either manually go into the settings everytime you put it on silent, or you can just disable notifications in the sound setting and the droiding will stop.

My wife still hasn't received the OTA update. Are people still receiving the update? I thought the update was supposed to be sent to everyone with D1's by today. I am waiting to hear when froyo for my Droid X will be available.

Yeah people still are. I just got mine this morning.

There are two updates coming though right? The other one involving the Adobe Flash 10.1 later?
The second update you speak of is more like a patch to allow you to see Flash Player in the market. It doesn't come pre-installed.

Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying! :)

I'm still waiting in Baltimore. I was never convinced it would be done by the 18th, so I'm not overly disappointed (yet).

I just now got the update and after the "folder into phone" screen it restarted and has been stuck on the Moto logo part of the reboot for about 10 minutes now. Don't remember that from the 2.1 update. Something wrong here? Should I try restarting?

When mine updated this morning it didn't do this. It stayed on the red/black boot animation for a while but left the Motorola logo fairly quickly.

Leave it, the initial boot after the update is really long. Now if its still there after another 10 minutes then you have issues. Then I would do a battery pull.

And if my phone IS bricked? Do they just give me a Droid 2? And would that effect my new upgrade date?
Lol no they wont give you a droid 2. If your near a store they will have you take it in and if the tech knows what they are doing they will re-flash the phone to 2.01 using SBF. If not then they will just ship you out a refurbished droid 1. Either way no droid 2 haha.
