****Official FroYo Rollout Thread-Version2!****

I have a stock droid here and settings > About phone > System updates, says "Your system is currently up to date."

Battery fully charged, firmware version 2.1-update1

My husband has the same message. I've had Froyo for a week now. Phones were bought on the same day in the same place.

Now that I have the update to 2.2, how do i get adobe flash player installed?
You cant download the official version from the market yet. There will be a second 2.2 update in the coming weeks allowing you to download from the market. Until then its the waiting game.

Negative ghostrider. I installed flashplayer right after my OTA 2.2 update today and it works on my phone.
Im sure you downloaded the beta from a 3rd party. The official version from the market that you can download off of the market with your phone is not out yet. I also have the beta 3 but its not the official release

Can you try something and do the 'Check for updates' check. Im gonna guess it wont work, but motomobile tweeted that it would.

And let us know

It didn't work for me...

My wife got the OTA update last Friday night but I still haven't gotten it! :icon_evil:

here is the .apk for the final market version of flash that was released to the nexus one: Flash_v10.1.92.8.apk

I just installed 2.2 on the wife's phone. It worked just fine. Pushed to her phone via Verizon. I'm in Roswell,Ga.
My phone is rooted and I just don't care!! Been running Froyo and flash 10.1for a while now.

you're exactly right, just thought i'd post the .apk - it's likely the same we'll see when we can finally see it, or at least REALLY close

Well it has been about 8 hours and I swear my phone is working better. Screen even appears sharper. Next time I will most likely not wait for the OTA update, as that hung on me as I posted earlier this morning. Still a little confused as why my OTA file this morning was the smaller one. I thought that VZW changed to the larger one???? Chris

This is probably been answered a gajillion times, but if you do the update using either the large or small file it won't affect the ability to accept the supposed 2nd update OTA? If you manually install what will happen when the signal is sent OTA; will you get a notice or nothing?

It won't interfere with the second update (assuming it's coming, which I am) because it's the same software. All you're doing is speeding up the process, taking the phone into your own hands instead of leaving it up to Verizon, and striking a blow for freedom. ;)

The first OTA update.zip won't drop at all; Verizon's ping will report back what it wants to see and the rollout will move on to the next phone chosen at random from the database.

If you look at it a certain way, that means if you installed the update yourself you're actually helping another Droid owner to get their update quicker. OK, we're not talking about a lot of time, but you can still think of it as helping others. :)

someone who is 30 minutes away from me got the update last night but i didn't :(

i think i'm going to manually update tonight if i don't get it by the time i get home from work. i'm just a lil skeptical because people seem to point to 5 different files to download for it.

There are actually only two files -- one taken directly from the Google servers that's being pushed out OTA and one that works better and is being used to unbork installs. The second one is the better choice.

It takes 2-4 seconds or sometimes more for any command to be followed now.
I can't stream any music, which is a big deal.

Manually install the larger file. To date it's the only cure for these issues. That is, if they're ongoing after more than an hour or two and a reboot.

I like the way you think, sir. Have a dancing banana.

Heck, have two more.
