Installed over 1.6 and followed the instructions in the OP and I have not had any of the mentioned issues... Not too sure what could be causing them though.

This is by far the best my DX has ever ran! Great work Drod!!

Would someone kindly inform me on the differences between Wireless Tether and 3g Hotspot app? AP/Ad-hoc? I'm ignorant to this. Thanks!

Infrastructure Mode (or AP mode) is where your devices connect to your phone as if it were an Access Point.

Ad-hoc is one to one device to device wireless connection.

Thanks, I use Wireless Tether. I'm definitely not paying for VZW 3g Hotspot, but I've had no need to tether to more than 1 device at a time, so I'll stick with with WT.

i know drod is a user of ADW but are there any issues if you use Launcher Pro Plus.

There were some minor LPP issues with 1.0 and 1.6, widgets not loading/updating/etc. correctly, and I'm pretty sure they will be issues on 1.8.4.
It's been shown to be an issue with LPP not playing well with the ROM, not a ROM issue however.

I ran LP+ on 1.6, and now on 1.8.4 since release last night. No issues at all!

Same here, battery life is great so far! I've been unplugged since 8am yesterday morning. At 30% now (oh and I do have the extended battery, I recommend this to anyone with an X!).

I don't know...my phone is also running A LOT hotter to touch. Think ill try reinstalling this. If that doesn't work ill have to go back a version.

Yes, I did both right after I installed 1.8.6.

Interesting... I haven't had that happening. Usually I do switch back and forth while at work due to poor signal but today it's been 3G at 2-3 bars all day.

I wiped data and cache before I installed the rom, so it definitely had a clean install.

I wonder if its just a coincidence and maybe Verizon is having problems in my area? IDK.. Maybe it will work itself out.

Just checked - Google Sky Map downloaded and installed with no problem for me. Note that I'd never installed it previously. Angry Birds is also playing fine, via TB (though I did have to manually restore the app data, somehow the batch process restored the app, but not the data).

guess ill just reflash this and stay with the stock gallery

It doesn't work. Pulled it. Was going to put up a patch to go back, but... if you're already reflashing.. I won't take the time, instead, I'll see if one of the 9 or 10 I have works.

In Gallery, it should give you a folder name, or (??) of where they're located.
Any info you can give would be great. I use a Market app normally for Gallery... but even with the Focused Gallery, I wasn't having any issues (well, other than when I tried to replace it with something else.. meh).

Also, might help to narrow down if they're on SDCard, or in /System... could you unmount your SDCard, and see if they still show in Gallery?

Short answer: I can't recreate it. Can you find the files?

if i install this and i later need to sbf will it be safe? i remember reading that the droid 2 with 2.2.1 you cannot sbf with the 2.2 sbf file.

I think its the training software for the built in search recognition... It makes you record so many phrases and then uses the data to accurately register your voice commands... Could be wrong though...
