Droid74, I noticed the same thing. My battery was housed after I updated. I figure some bugs still have to be worked out, might flash back to 1.6 in the mean time.

Droid74, I noticed the same thing. My battery was housed after I updated. I figure some bugs still have to be worked out, might flash back to 1.6 in the mean time.
There were some minor LPP issues with 1.0 and 1.6, widgets not loading/updating/etc. correctly, and I'm pretty sure they will be issues on 1.8.4.
It's been shown to be an issue with LPP not playing well with the ROM, not a ROM issue however.
I cleared the Data, no cache in Market:
Sky Map and Angry Birds both download and fails the install with the "Installation Unsuccessful" error.
I got Angry Birds to restore by restoring the app only then doing the data separate. I am going to go back to my ROM backup and see if I can do the same with Sky Map I guess.
This worked. I don't know what the problem was, but as long as I can play Angry Birds and look at the sky, I am happy.
thank you sir, i think my best bet would be to use ADW. i've never used it but i'm assuming its pretty much the same thing as far as customizing.
I installed this right on top of 1.6, which I installed right on top of 1.0... So far so good. I haven't encountered any problems or instability. I also installed my modified version of Juicemane's Black Juice theme without issue. I did not clear data/cache prior to installing but I did clear davlik cache and regular cache along with battery stats afterwards.
Edit: Witholding opinion on battery performance since I did wipe battery stats. Might take me a couple days to get it stabilized there, but I have noticed that today my battery is at 50% after only 4.5 hours. Again, I don't know how accurate that is because of wiping battery stats as well as playing an abnormal amount of Angry Birds and WordFeud

I'm having the same issue... My 3G keeps dropping to no bars(from full bars) and then the phone switches to 1X mode. It gets stuck in 1X for a while unless I toggle airplane mode. I hardly ever dropped 3G with rubiX 1.6. With 1.8.6 its been happening all morning.
anyone else have my issue? Sephtin any comment on the battery life and wierd random pics that shoudnt be there?
Did you try *228 to and doing option 2? Or even option 1?
No issues with pics... no clue there.
Battery life, mine seemed fine yesterday, not 3 or 4 hours bad, like someone posted... But again, I wasn't specifically watching for it. Few things I can check on.. but this is a drod question if it's happening, I don't have details of exactly what was changed, so I don't know where to start looking...
Yes, I did both right after I installed 1.8.6.
Interesting... I haven't had that happening. Usually I do switch back and forth while at work due to poor signal but today it's been 3G at 2-3 bars all day.

its 130 and i've been on battery since 7 and i'm at 80% which is pretty good for me
