She did not do the update and her phone is not rooted. I am not sure where the ota downloaded (if it did) our how to get to it on a unrooted phone. Never was good at PC to Droid communication. If she does up date I will get the info from her phone.

I would guess the ones we are ousting would be the ota released as its the only ones any one had seen working our tested at this point.

I've looked back through the posts since 2.0 came out and didn't see an answer, but do we need to rerun the unthrottle script again after installing or is it done automatically at install time? I tried running it and it gave an error about file not found, but it still says 1.8 in the drop down. Thanks.

Yes you have to re run it each time you install. If you look at your sd card in root Explorer there are sd and ext sd. I always put the Unthrottled folder in both locations (SD and Ext SD). (it should be in one of those locations from install. After you have the folder in both Sd cards re run your script and see if that works. rember to delete both unthrottled folders before upgrading to the next r3-blurr3d as the install creates the unthrottled folder.

Donated you guys some beer money thanks for the hard work Th3ory and Dhacker.

+1 on the reboot/recovery/screenshot menu when you hit the power button to turn off the phone.

im running 1.7, is there a way to go to 2.0 without having the phone reformat and loosing all my apps, saved games etc.?

Most of your apps will reload via Google with no help so thats not a big deal. Saved game data how ever can only be Backed up and reinstalled via "Titanium Back Pro" (an app on the Market) that I am aware of.

Other than those things you can go from Stock to 2.0 with no issues. Just rember to follow the instructions in the OP to a T. if you have not moved to 2.0 yet might want to wait just a bit as they are about to release 2.1 with some major changes and should be worth the wait.

As Wizard said, the apps are reinstalling automatically at almost 100% now. That includes paid and free apps.

If you use Titanium, once all your apps have reinstalled, you can then restore just the data to the apps of interest. That is the practically the only thing I use Titanium for at this point. I love being about to get all my Favorites with user names and passwords back on Tapatalk with the push of a virtual button!!

So have any of you guys who've updated noticed better data connection? That's the only problem I'm having and if the update isn't helping, i'll hold off.

For some folks it seems to solve the issue totally and for others - not. I ended up in the "not" group. I did however do the following and am seeing much improvement: Possible Data Loss Fix - RootzWiki

I have not been able to test it fully, but I can say that after doing the fix listed in the link above, even thought the fix seems counter intuitive to me personally, my phone now hands off from wifi to 3G instantaneously. Prior to this "fix" it would take 3G 5-10 seconds to reestablish itself. I'm going to be in a 4G area shortly and will test that hand-off then.

Another plus, of less importance, is that the camera is much, much better. Also, folks are reporting much better battery performance. And this one may be true. I just checked my phone. It has been off charger for 5.75 hours and it's at 94% (medium/light use - lots of emails, 30-40 minutes of tapatalk, limited Dolphin Browser and a few short phone calls). For me and my phone (BTW - standard battery), that's pretty darn good.

Good luck.
