[ROM] ApeX 1.3.1 for Droid X - Running, running, as fast as it can (12/16/10)

open the app Android Terminal and type in...

su

then type in

gallery

if you want your options back -switch back to the motorola gallery. type in...

gallery -mot

make sure to include the dash and put it in the right place. space after gallery, -mot, no space between the dash and the mot.

I was not a terminal user before this rom and it took me like 2 hours to figure out what I was supposed to type and where everything was supposed to go. I know -I am lame.

hope that helps. good luck.

Thanks for the help. It's too bad that you have to switch back to the moto gallery for the options, I love the layout and functionality of the 3d gallery way more.

how exactly do i need to word the scripts in emulator to remove madden and nfs shift?

NFS can be uninstalled like any downloaded application through setting/applications

hi, i'm running verison 2.3.320.mb810 and kernal 2.6.32.9, can i install this with bootstrap? And if not can someone inform me on what I need to do so I can? Sorrry i'm a new here.

If im on apex 1.2 how do I go to 1.3? Im guessing I have to sbf back to 2.3.15 and the OTA, root, Bootstrap then go to apex 1.3 right?

No, no, no! That way be dragons!

If you're on 1.2 (and not, say, 1.0.2), then you're on kernel 2.3.320. If you SBF to 2.3.15 you will brick your phone.

Follow the instructions in the Droid X Discussion forum on mydroidworld.com (TBH Patches: 2.3.340-System, Baseband, 2.3.340-Kernel, Bootloader)

Then install ApeX 1.3 over your phone when you're done.

np. So if kernel says 2.3.15, then just SBF to clean. Then get the OTA update to 2.3.340 and then install ApeX 1.3

Alternatively, you *could* use the files on the mydroidworld site and end up in the same place. OTA might be the more comfortable route though :)

got it, so i gotta track the SBF down i figured it be something easy like that.:icon_ banana: and to think, all i had to do was wait an extra day and I would of been on the .340 but i wanted the GB theme.

Yup.

Anyone feel like this is deja vu :)

last question, i hit Restore data, boot, cache, and system right? All 4?

I've never done the advanced restore before, I usually just do the regular restore option. So I would say Yes, that sounds right...
