Hey guys I'm having trouble with this. When I get to the bootstrapper, I clear data and cache and then install from the zip. As it's copying files, it aborts with a failure on Line 26 (which is that it can't chown the xbin file). I then get stuck on the M logo and have to SBF back.

I am running .32 so I have no clue why this won't work. I have had 0 luck with Apex yet but I'm determined to get it to work (even bricked my .40 copy last night and sent me into a panic).

Anyone have a clue?

No expert here, but my first thought would be to try and mount system before installing the zip file next time.

I can't remember the exact menu choices to make to get there, but in clockwork, there is a way to mount system. I think that may help. Or not. Can't hurt

Anyone know how to get the universal inbox app to show up in apps?? I have multiple email accounts and I can only check my default email (when using the email app (icon)

Has anyone had any issues with the Swype Beta? Swype has had some improvements since the version that was put on the Droid X, so I've been using that instead of the regular version. Well, with ApeX 1.3, I got it Swype Beta up and running, but if I restart the phone, Swype stops working properly. It will type with button presses, but it won't Swype. Clearing its data, uninstalling, clearing data on the installer, uninstalling that, rebooting, and then reinstalling it all gets it working again. Any ideas?

I'm seeing the same behavior with the latest Swype beta. Didn't have this problem on rubiX Focused 1.9.0 or on Tranq 3.6.

That sounds like your license is messed up try unisntalling swype and putting the installer back on redownload the file thru the installer then use swype and see what happens when you reboot

you have to have motorola email and messaging enabled

open terminal emulator and type:

su
email -mot
[enter]
messaging -mot
[enter]
reboot


i don't have the universal inbox in the app drawer, but messaging is there and when i tap on that, it shows universal inbox

LOL wow im so happy to hear people still remember me lol some people even still download the my FINAL version of my roms before I left. I want to come back but just too busy as of late and we have some awesome Dev's already like Fabolous and Drod. Maybe if Fab would take me under his wing.... :unsure::icon_rolleyes:

haha. that's cool. i can't imagine the amount of time stuff like this takes. i've been trying for the last day just to change notification icons on handcent without breaking it. it's funny, i bricked my x last week and was using the omnia while i was waiting for my replacement. as soon as i fired it up and saw the splash screen i was like "oh snap, i remember this" lol

ok, last question i promise, lol Any way to get the lock bar on the home screen back to the original height? you know 3/4 down the screen instead of at the bottom? is it just a script?
