[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

Has anyone experienced a random reboot? Cuz mine just did... hmmmm.

I have, but I attributed it to using Jrummy's dx overclock app. I have not experienced a random reboot since I have done the following:

Lowered my OC from 1.15 (high voltage) to 1.0 (ULV)
I also updated the apextoolbox by running updatetb in the terminal emulater
I ran apextoolbox, ran some services.jar tweaks (removed clock/date, and changed battery icon) (probably not important for reboot, but figured it was worth mentioning)

Finally I "managed startup scripts" then applied startup script (overwrites old ones) and then I "Fixed Startup Script" which supposedly allows the overclock app to run in harmony with apex

Hope this helps, and I've gone almost 24 hours without a random reboot (no reboots since I did this process yesterday)

Cool.. i updated the tb and ran the startup script... so i'll wait a day or two to see if everything is good. Thanks for the help man.

Fab great ROM!!! Just update from 1.3.1 did factory reset. I am having problems with my email. I get a notification that I have messages but it will not load them. suggestions? It is a personal acct. not a commercial one. Also when I try to use the droidforums app (and simular) I get "Https" not regestered.

Suggestions..I did update the toolbox..just not sure what to do with it.

Thanks

I had ran updatetb and calibrated my overclock speeds with Quickclock Adv. Overclocker. Should I still do what was mentioned a few posts earlier and go into my startup scripts via toolbox and follow their instructions?

Also, how do I know if the overclocking is actually working? what changes would I see with my phone if any???

1.3.1 to 1.4.0

Those of you that upgraded from ApeX 1.3.1 to v1.4.0, how did it go? Any gotchas to be aware of? Factory reset necessary? Am I better off restoring my nandroid of stock froyo 2.3.340 and installing?

I want to make sure I have my ducks in a row before I attempt anything - sucks being without a phone for too long.

I just flashed right over. No wipe of anything. Remember everyone's phone is different. But no problems so far. Allow plenty of time for the first boot.

Sounds good. My first boot after flashing usually takes a few minutes so I've come to expect some waiting. It's a pain to have to reinstall everything so I wanted to hear other's experiences before I jumped on board. Thanks.

Do I need to know any spacific commands to use the toolbox....and is there a list of themes that are compatble, also what is the benifit in having the tool box in the terminal emulator?

Might want to check out titanium backup! :)

After that does it's thing run:

su

And play around!

Hey guys, my site went down so Toolbox and links are broken at the moment. I'm trying to get this resolved ASAP. Hang on ;)
