[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

I wasn't happy about how big the "Gingerbread Keyboard" was, because the whole point of it was not the colors, but the size and spacing of the Keys, so below, in this file there are 3 different GB Keyboards:
Biggest: Stock ApeX 1.4.0 Keyboard
Midsized: I believe it came from Droid Life, but not sure?
Smaller: GB Keyboard from ApeX 1.3.1/1.3.0
Here you can see the difference:
Install instructions:
*Unzip, choose what keyboard you want and take the "LatinIME.apk" file out of the folder and put it on the root of your sd card
In terminal,
su
apextoolbox
2
i
LatinIME.apk
There you go!

DUDE! SUPER LIKE! I really like this. I am a huge fan of the smaller keyboard and you just made me really happy! installed it without any probs. works like a charm. You do have to switch from Swype to Android keyboard in settings (just like any other keyboard switch though).

Will all ADW themes available on market work with ADW EX?
Love this, runs so smooth. So far no lags or fc. However, the only problem i'm having is with the MY VERIZON app. It's unable to validate my phone number. Every time i laugh the app, it gives me that error and the only option it gives me is to close the app. I uninstalled it, rebooted the phone, and re-downloaded the app and it was still giving me the error message. I then went into the applications list, and cleared data for the app, but still getting the error. Anyone else having this problem...can't figure out how to fix this. I had 1.3.1 running previous to this and the app was running fine. I did wipe data and clear cache before installing 1.4.0

If eight or so is a representative sample, than yes.
No didn't think to try that. I'll try that and see if it works.

Does anyone know a way to install wycontacts or at least have the letter dividers between the contacts like wycontacts does? It is one of the few things I can't figure out how to fix on this ROM. ANY help is greatly appreciated.

Option for blur apps is great, terminal kinda fun, plus it makes me look like im some sort of super geek to friends,lol.
Gingerbread theme is nice, I had the percent on battety with 1.3.1 withe extras, os this something you can add to terminal? Or did I miss it in there already...

there are two versions of batt percentage available, with screenshots:
* after su in terminal, make sure to run updatetb before running apextoolbox to get latest version.
in apextoolbox - option 6 (goodies) - option 1 (framework mods)
* apextoolbox rocks. i actually prefer it over a gui tools app.
