[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

Welcome, I too came from the Eris. You picked a great ROM, the only one I've been 100% happy with. As far as overclocking, I highly suggest Droid Overclock in the market. It's worth the price, because it is more specific to these phones because you can pick the clock speed and the voltage. I personally, and many others do this too, run stock speed, but undervolt. I'd go get the app and then if you have any questions to what exactly I have mine set up as I can answer that. (You don't really NEED to overclock. The processor in the X is slightly better than the one that was in the Eris. Believe it or not  :rofl3:)[/QUOTE]

Soooo I can get rid of set cpu when I get that?

I installed a theme & after some time Im not feeling it anymore
Can I just install the Apex 1.4.1 ROM over it & not have issues or should i just restore my nandroid backup? Thanks in advance

You should be ok. Just wipe cache then reinstall 1.4.1

Wouldn't installing the backup be easier than setting it all up again? Before I make major changes like themes I do a backup for that very reason.

Does anyone know if there is a way to access/respond to facebook messages using the AOSP messaging suite? I have the account added, and can open new messages through the notification pulldown, but once that is cleared there doesn't seem to be a way to access them. I tried the messaging widget, but that doesn't seem to respond. Is this a blur-only feature? I'm trying to avoid installing the FB app at all costs.

You can't. Why are you trying to avoid installing the app?

In the past I've found it to be poorly written and rough on resources/battery. I use the Launcherpro widget and was often directed to the FB website anyways, so I figured it wasn't worth it. If the current version is recommended, I'll give it another shot.

The new version is a ton better. It has added features along with chat. Just check it out. I think you'll be pleased.
