You have to edit the text file that is inside the bootanimation.zip

I did!!! Lol... I edited the desc file and replaced whatever soundfile was there with

s apex.mp3

and it when my screen boots its a blank screen and no sound... but it boots... so what could i be missing?

Copy and paste the desc.txt file so I can see what you did.

Yes, data/local. Has to be named "bootanimation.zip"
I get an error when trying to download the file.

I downloaded the honeycomb boot animation from androidcentral, and I can't even get that to work. I think something is wrong with the file... Sound or no sound it won't work. Sorry Jack.

I will soon be switching from an original Droid (with Bugless Beast rom), to a used Droid X that I purchased. I am mainly changing phones to get the bigger screen, fm radio, and hdmi output.

I've checked into some of the custom roms for the Droid X, and this one looks to be what I'm after. By adding back certain blur apps, is the stock fm radio and hdmi output fully functional with this rom?

I can say for sure HDMI works( Just tried it out yesterday~)... But u will need to download from ApeXtoolbox the Blur Media Gallery for it to work~ ApeXToolbox is accessable thru terminal... just type

Great! Thanks for the confirmation on the HDMI. Anybody have the stock FM radio (non-internet streaming) working on this rom? I looked through the Blur add backs from the ApeX toolbox wiki, but I didn't see anything that stood out for the FM radio.

Give me 10 mins... im installing FMradio.apk and FMradioservice.apk on my phone to test it out for ya~

FmRadio does work.... here are the files u will need to get it to work....

(Unzip this and put the .apk's on ur sdcard and use ApexToolBox to install them... Its option (2) then option (i) once in the toolbox, and follow the prompts~)

on a side note... u do know that we have SlackerRadio or Pandora...right?
