[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

Has anyone else had an issue with the screen turning off immediately when you answer a call? It won't respond to touch, and eventually comes back on again by itself. It has happened to me several times.

I have this issue (going from a dock to answer a call)
I thought it was liberty 1.5 doing it.. so I was very surprised that it was doing it in apex 1.4.1
I did not sbf between liberty and apex, i just wiped everything.
so i think i' m going to try and SBF and then re-install apex and see what happens.

I sbf the latest and reinstalled my backup of apex 1.4.1 (which was a fresh/clean install) and it did not fix this issue) I'm not sure what's going on with it.. i was sure an SBF would do the trick.. but if i'm coming off a dock, I can not get to my call screen.. the call is still in session, but if i touch the screen it goes black and i can not pull down the notification bar to switch to the call.

update: I figured it out..
i am using car home (beta) from the market and that is the problem.. when i installed the aosp and/or blur dock, i didn't have these issues.. I will take it up with the dev.

Will the mildstone overclock work with apex? In the market it says I have to have stock ROM. Im using apex 1.4 and I used mildstone to overclock it and my benchmark shows im overclocked.

Yes it does. Picked it up last night. Works perfectly. Only issue that I have had compared to other Roms is apex kills my battery. Any suggestions?

maybe it's just my phone, but Apex 1.4.1 is extremely unstable for me. I frequently get apps hanging, black screens, required battery pulls and general sluggishness from time to time. The thing is I never had this issue with 1.3.1, as a matter of fact I thought 1.3.1 was flawless, never any issues.

Anyone else having these same problems? To fix it I did sbf back to 2.2.340 stock, rooted, clockwork, backup, data/cache wipe, install 1.4.1, and here I am.

I was having all sorts of problems for a while. I found out that it was the aosp corporate email app. I disabled the startup scripts deletion of the log directory so that I could watch what was going on. I don't know if it's the exchange policies or something else, but the log was flooded with email stuff related to my work email account. The email app was also top of the list for battery use and was draining like crazy.

I switched over to the motorola email suite, and the problem is gone. After applying some extra tweaks borrowed from rubix, my phone is faster than ever and stable overclocked at 1.25 @ stock vsel.

Not sure if it could be your problem too, definately not if your not syncing with exchange, but just thought I'd throw that out there.
