[ROM] [ROM] ApeX V1.4.1 for Droid X & Droid 2 - Refinement and Ease of Use (2/22/2011)

maybe it's just my phone, but Apex 1.4.1 is extremely unstable for me. I frequently get apps hanging, black screens, required battery pulls and general sluggishness from time to time. The thing is I never had this issue with 1.3.1, as a matter of fact I thought 1.3.1 was flawless, never any issues.

Anyone else having these same problems? To fix it I did sbf back to 2.2.340 stock, rooted, clockwork, backup, data/cache wipe, install 1.4.1, and here I am.

I would rewipe and try again. This is the only ROM I run now a days. ROCK SOLID.

I haven't noticed the battery life from stock but this is also the only Rom I have tryed. And my ringtone when ppl call me wont play, its not a big deal to me cuz I use everything but the calling but it would be nice to have it

Try redownloading the .zip and wipe data/cache, and flash again if you get the same issues.

I also had this issue when I went from 1.4 to 1.4.1. I am pretty sure it had to do with the new market when I performed an "update all". It became very sluggish, black screens, and required battery pulls. I also assumed it was 1.4.1 and restored back to my nandroid from 1.4. I then updated a few apps from the market on 1.4 and ran into the same issue, just not as bad. It rebooted itself a few times and now is back to normal. I did some asking around on the forums and they said people are having issues with the new market. They also said go into your applications in your settings and clear data on your market app and that is supposed to help. Hope this helps

I may or may not have found the issue, but I got rid of the beautiful widgets app (installed newer version actually) and my hanging, black screens and lag seems to have gone away. It's a little early to tell for certain so I will post back in the next few days. Hopefully this was it because I'm pretty much out of options at this point.

I will soon be switching from an original Droid (with Bugless Beast rom), to a used Droid X that I purchased. I am mainly changing phones to get the bigger screen, fm radio, and hdmi output.

I've checked into some of the custom roms for the Droid X, and this one looks to be what I'm after. By adding back certain blur apps, is the stock fm radio and hdmi output fully functional with this rom?

I can say for sure HDMI works( Just tried it out yesterday~)... But u will need to download from ApeXtoolbox the Blur Media Gallery for it to work~ ApeXToolbox is accessable thru terminal... just type

Any way to turn off the automatic facebook updating through moto's social networking app? I don't care about peoples updates unless I go on facebook to look. I don't want my battery to die because people on FB update their damn statuses all day long...

Go to "My Accounts" in the app drawer(not settings).... its by the market somewhere.... and delete the facebook account~

OR go to Ur settings menu....Data Manager...Data Delivery...and choose "social applications"..... in there u will find a check box to Sync over WIFI only... Check it and whenever u run WiFi it will sync~

The problem I'm having is that when I open up MMS ASOP my contacts appear there but they do not link to facebook, no pictures and no shortcut to their facebook profile...

Oh, Well theres ur problem..... ur trying to get ASOP to work on Blur....If you use UniversialInbox..... then the contacts should link up~

~But As far as i know there isnt a way... but i could be wrong...
