[ROM] ApeX V2.0.0 Release Candidate (RC2) (6/11/2011)

Is RC2.0 going to be able to flash over RC1.0 without having to re-install every application?

This is starting to become a HUGE pain in the ass when I use random passwords for everything using 2-Step Google Authenticator and Keepass for my passwords.

Yep that's what i did and everything's good no need to re-install apps .

This is advised by the Dev? or it "works"? I just literally installed .596 and RC1 on my device, no sooner then when I was finished RC2.0 was released.
Fab said on twitter you can flash RC1 over RC2 and like i said, i did it and worked fine .

Right on! Here we go! :icon_ banana:

PS> Does anyone have a .596 SBF file yet?

Just wipe your cache partition and Dalvik Cache .

Crap I just flashed RC2.0 and it worked...Should I wipe cache and Dalvik and re-install RC2.0?

Is this normal? I no longer get a Red M logo, instead I get a "Google" logo then to Apex bootanimation?

If it's working there's no need to reinstall , the google logo is the new logo that comes with RC2 it replaces the red moto .

So...it's not syncing my market apps...wtf :/ I had been on LB .7 (so .596), did 2-3 rounds of wipes, then booted. Gave it some time, no apps were showing up. Manually installed CWM, booted to it, did 3 rounds of wipes, booted, still nothing. I'm about to do it again and re-flash the ROM, maybe that'll do the trick...
Anyone have any ideas about this? I wiped 2x (data, cache, dalvik), flashed the ROM, then wiped everything again 2x...and it's still not restoring my market apps. >_<

Also, I can't scroll in the app drawer for a few seconds after opening it each time. When I try, it just does the haptic vibrate thing. Anyone else getting this?

On the market issue same thing happened with me coming from .7liberty. 4 times in the last 2 days between rc1 and twice now on rc2. no biggie i keep my /data/app folder backed up on my sdcard now since google started removing apps and just reinstall from there.

ill probably try the new liberty when it comes and see if the market restores or not. Then i'll be back on Apex

This is definitely the fastest thing out there right now. ADW ex runs flawlessly

Sounds like ROM Manager... Go into the Bootstapper, and select "Bootstap Recovery" and wait for it to finish. Then hit "Reboot Recovery" and it should kick you into recovery.

Thx Fab! RC2 running awesome!

Revolution theme work ok on RC2? Don't know if you mod'd framework any.

Installing...

Hello,

I downloaded and installed this rom through ROM Manager, and, after installing, I am stuck on boot.

The google logo shows up, but it does not boot into the OS. I can't get windows to recognize the phone is connected.

Any ideas on what I could do?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Can you get into recovery by holding down the power button and the home button until you get to the boot logo, release the power button and continue to hold the home button until the exclamation point comes up?If you can, then when you see the exclamation point push the far right search button to get into the recovery menu and clear data/factory reset. Reboot. See if that works.
