It should be said that it is not a requirement to flash the most recent nightly. Nor do the nightlies actually get released... nightly. Flash 0.8 now and see how you like it. Just don't pick the Blur launcher... ;-)

I figured I would have to flash for every nightlie a friend told me the something. I just don't want to be bothered with flashing all the time o just want something stable and since I am on 596 i figured I would go with the ginger liberty since I had liberty before. Do I have to flash everynight or is it something where as if I feel its good enough as is I don't have to go to that nightlies if I don't want to?

No, Nightly is just a name...there have been eight Liberty GB versions over the last month or so. And after flashing .8 nothing is going to force you to flash a newer version, unless if you just want to. It's definitely not something you'll be doing every night.

Great that's what I wanted to know. Thanks for the info I appreciate it. I am going to flash liberty.

Ok I just flashed and I am now on liberty ginger v08. I have a question I found where I can change the battery icon but I am not interested in any. However when I was on liberty 2.1 I was able to customize the battery, reception bars, and 3g icon. How can I customize all off them?

I downloaded 0.8 via the toolbox, however, I set it to queue as I needed to quickly amend a TBU. I bootstrapped and rebooted into recovery, wiped and applied the 0.8 zip file. Rebooted. The Liberty "fist" seems to just hang for minutes on end. I've rebooted into recovery and cleared data/cache, and still seems to hang.

I realize that rebooting after flashing does take a little longer on first boot, but what is the normal wait time? I'm pretty sure something isn't right, but I'm not sure if it's because I didn't let the toolbox install the zip.

It didn't. I ended sbf'ing and (currently) recovering. I'll just try it the "right way", but this should be addressed for others that might run into this.

I flash everything through CW. Even the nightlies. I just download them to the queue and install at my convenience. Not sure why you got stuck. Did you give it at least 10 min? and did you wipe dalvik cache, that can make it take a good while too.

So I'm kinda curious about LGB...

I'm on Liberty 2.0.1 for Froyo and I'm just wondering how stable is the latest LGB when compared to L201? I'm sure I'll have to just go ahead and flash just to figure it out.

Awesome

Hi guys,

Just wanted to say what a great ROM this is. I was running Rubix 2.0.1 but since it doesn't seem there's a GB update soon, I went ahead and flashed to Liberty. I love it. It's fast, stable and so easy to install themes etc. Donated and got your Toolbox, what a great app, complements Liberty ROM well. Thanks.

Listen. It is stable. It is very very stable. Just flash it. Well, you need to first flash the gb leak then liberty gb, but yeah. Flash it

No it's not. It's still really rough around the edges (look at the bug reports pages. I myself experience at least one random reboot per day.) If it was very, very stable, it'd be a release candidate. I'm in the process of backing up my stuff so I can flash another ROM (probably 2.0.1) because LGB has too many problems right now. I flashed it expecting the devs. to keep the same general schedule they have been, and they didn't. Not that I am expecting anything from them; I just took a chance thinking that the gap between 0.8 and 0.9 would be about the same as 0.6 and 0.7, and 0.7 and 0.8 etc. I was wrong.

I speculate that the lag is due to CM4DX. I don't think it is merely coincidence that as soon as CM4DX showed up, LGB stopped getting updated...

I'd stick with 2.0.1 until at least an RC. You'd be doing yourself a huge favor.

EDIT: Let me also say that a large part of the reason I flashed LGB in the first place was so I could help test it. Now that everything's washed out, there's nothing else to report, and we're all waiting for an updated ROM. I'm cool with being on an unstable alpha for a little while, but it's been too long!

EDIT #2: Instability case in point... I am so annoyed at this it makes me want to throw something every time my phone reboots. It boots into recovery every time the phone reboots, and I have to click the camera button to reboot it again to get it to come up, which is especially annoying when you get a random reboot in the middle of doing something and you have to run through the boot screen twice.
