That's cool I used your rom its awesome but I lost all my contacts that's the only reason why I asked. I used one I found on a site using google but it wouldn't open
I am anxious to use this rom but I have 2 questions 1) will I lose my connection to the exchange server? I am set up on my Droid x for my company too and when I installed Tranquility I lost my icons and everything including notifications for exchange server, so can anyone answer that please. I dont care about setting it up again but tranquility made it so i didnt even have a place to go set it up?
I just set up my exchange account. I actually stopped using the corporate sync and use touchdown now. it pushes consistantly, corporate sync stopped notifying when I was on 2.1 so I stopped using it.
As for the backup assistant, luckily my contacts were also synced with google, but not all of them. But i went in with root explorer to the apk and tried reinstalling there but it won't install. I'm curious as to what this could be, or what service it also needs. I have an update.zip so I'm going to try and take the file from there to see if I can do something. ill report back

that's what i originally assumed. I'm looking into it as well. that's what I hate about blur. It ties in quite a few apps to make just one function.
Until this is fixed, I'd recommend just wiping data via clockworkmod recovery and not the settings menu IF you must wipe data. Although, after flashing, I don't see a need..

Just for the record I did wipe via clockwork, then formatted system, data, cache, so on and so on. I didn't have to reactivate my phone and I noticed that when you wipe via clockwork. All other wipes, like in the privacy tab on the phone, and stock recovery requires a reactivation.
All else aside I must give it to you. My phone is nice and snappy like I like. I am looking forward to whatever else you will be contributing to the X community. I prefer launcher pro, so I was just able to rename adw to .bak in the system apps folder. In your opinion, do you think launcher pro would have a positive response if I moved that into the system folder? or would it not make a difference?

Wiping via settings will make you have to re-activate, yes, while clockwork just makes you go through the setup wizard. Should be no problems with just a regular data wipe through clockwork, as they basically do the same thing, but I understand your point.

Launcher Pro would have no difference being in data or system, system is just the folder of choice for pre-installing apps for rom flashers.Voice search is in the market.

Anyone have problems with gmail not pushing after installing this rom?
For the 220 lcd, dl the build.prop from.rom manager, easiest way to get it aside from doing it yourself.
Speed wise, it runs a lot more responsive than either. You'll notice a difference, but only in feel and load times, not necessarily quadrant or linpack scores.
gmail not correctly syncing is a known issue across droid x roms. Clear data for gmail in the applications menu in settings.
Battery life with the brightness patch, I get about 2 hours extra battery life with it. Its not too bad of a minimum for me, it shoots up when it's been used for a period of time.

is there a way I can replace this messaging app with the stock one that comes on droid x? I know I know, the whole point of this is to limit the amount of blur, but I happen to quite like the text messaging app that came on the phone...Any ideas? Also, just to note, i've already tried using the system app folder I posted earlier in the thread to install the "conversations.apk" and change the "mms.apk" to "mms.bak" and the install went fine, but when I try to actually open up text messaging, nothing happens...
At this point, no. Give me a day or two to finish testing, I have something for you blur lovers too
