[ROM] rubiX Focused 0.3

is there a way I can replace this messaging app with the stock one that comes on droid x? I know I know, the whole point of this is to limit the amount of blur, but I happen to quite like the text messaging app that came on the phone...Any ideas? Also, just to note, i've already tried using the system app folder I posted earlier in the thread to install the "conversations.apk" and change the "mms.apk" to "mms.bak" and the install went fine, but when I try to actually open up text messaging, nothing happens...

At this point, no. Give me a day or two to finish testing, I have something for you blur lovers too :) and guess what.. barely any impact on speed/stability. I've made blur loveable! Kind of

umm so you're the man?

Right On.

So, this is the one that inspired me to root / nandroid / rom my stock 2.2 OTA. Niiiiiice work. I like my setup pretty simple, as you'll see.

Before I patch the calendar, does anyone know if this has been tried?

Teh blur calendar app is okay, but I was hoping to throw vanilla some love too...

Thanks again!

The current calendar is the vanilla calendar, the patch is cause I forgot a certain part of it :)

And to the contacts question, yes! Just make a backup of my rom, load your back up, go to settings, select accounts, choose your google account and it will give you the option to sync calendar, contacts, and gmail. Just select them all, let it sync, then reinstall the rom same as last time, but restore your newest back up instead of install from sd card.

i did not format system or data only formatted my cache and everything installed just fine.

I hope it stays that way for you, what were you running on the phone before the flash? Just remember its hard to ask for support if needed if you don't follow the developers directions, too many small things can create issues but hopefully you dont encounter any.

second the motion for the text messaging app that comes with the droid x. Other that so far good. Running it with onix black bar

Yes, you can. I can take the theme and take out the files that he themed that are blurred. If you flash it now, all the blur apps he listed will also appear in your system, although your system WILL NOT call on them. You'll have double email and calendar apps as well.

Good to hear, if anything goes wrong, please format everything and re-install before reporting bugs. I'm trying to take the bugs off clean installs. If its not a clean install, it could just be conflicting files.
